September Review.

Good morning everyone.
What you all up to?
Grand-kids are back and it's like they've never been away.  The house is coming on though, so with talk of the kitchen being fitted along with carpets being ordered I don't think it will be long and I'll be bidding them farewell. 😢
Another month has flown by and the thought of Christmas and festivities has been entering my head.  I've made some lists and plan to get all my presents bought and wrapped way before there's any fear of long queues for me to worry about - that's the plan anyway!
So as we've entered October it's time to step back in time for the September Review.
Another mixed bag last month dominated by my white culotte trousers.  They're so adaptable for different occasions and can be dressed up or down as the mood takes me.  It seems they're nearly as flexible as my jeans although no denim was posted on the blog last month, guaranteed I lived in them.  I'm after another pair for winter but have yet to find the right ones, I'll keep you posted guys.

Way back at the beginning of September I was styling transitional outfits and this one proved very popular.  The white culottes have been worn often through-out the past month as they go well with so much in my wardrobe.

It seems they're nearly as flexible as my jeans although no denim was posted on the blog last month, guaranteed I lived in them.

I shared my August Review with you next and it seems like a lifetime ago doesn't it!  From Boho dresses to white jeans and skincare products, it was a busy old month for Mummab.  Do click to read what I got up to in August my friends.

On a suitably dreary day I featured how to styled a Summer skirt for Autumn with this pretty floral buy from Primark.  Worn with a jumper and boots I showed how I would wear this in the coming cooler days - there's lots of options as I have plenty of jumpers that will look great with it.  To make it even warmer I'll pop a pair of tights on with either long boots or ankle versions.

I was really excited to share a brand new skincare routine with you on the next post.  Neal's Yard was introduced to me by a good friend and I haven't looked back.  I smell amazing after my own mini facial and even though I say it myself my skin looks great! If you're thinking of trying something new do stop by to read about my technique and what I prefer to use on my skin. x

Now I said the white culottes were a great purchase because here's another look for them - paired with black for a monochrome look & bringing an edgy street feel with baseball trainers, the splash of leopard picks up the tortoise shell buttons creating a fashion winner!

Finally September saw the Style not Age collective All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go!  My prompt for the challenge confirmed we were all feeling the same and had plenty of outfits hanging in our cupboards with no prospect of being flaunted this year - how sad to admit that.😞 I'm sure many of you are feeling the same.  I featured a vivid dress from Jacques Vert for this post.  I've only worn it twice before and have been pleased with the timeless beauty which ticks two of my style boxes - lace and cerise pink!  If you'd like to see it along with the other gang members from Style not Age just follow the link. X

My amazing photos were taken by Esther - many thanks go to her for all her hard work and help.
Don't forget to join me on Thursday for the #linkup, I know you're all #Chicandstylish.
Bye bye for today. X

  1. I've enjoyed reading your posts Jacqui.I'm also thinking about Christmas too. I'm wondering how it's going to be this year? Hoping were not in another lockdown. Your right to be thinking ahead too. Lets hope the shops will be open! xx

  2. It was a good outfit month! And the lacy dark pink dress for “all dressed up and nowhere to go” is stunning.

  4. Those culottes were a good buy for you! I'm hoping restrictions continue to relax so Christmas can look a little more normal but we are already thinking we will have to avoid a few activities we'd usually treasure at Christmas time! At least we can spend time together as a family - even if the restrictions come back into place last time the rule was 10 people so my family can still gather - hopefully! I'm almost all done with Christmas shopping, wanted to get a good head start on it in case of shopping issues, but there are a few people I haven't decided on gifts for yet, and one of the presents for my son (a bike) is proving hard to find with shortages around.

Hope that you had a great weekend :) Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!
