Pastel Picking - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning all.
Are you all feeling elated?

I'm having such good fun with all the family in Spain.  I hope you're following along on IG to see what I'm up to and what I'm wearing.  Some of the dresses you will have seen before but there's a couple of new pieces that I just couldn't resist.
Bit short and sweet I'm afraid, but I hope you're all having a super week and are looking forward to July!

I'm sharing a look that I'm a big fan of.  Wide leg trousers are not only flattering for my pear shape but make for a graceful and classic look. They fit in the right places skimming my hips and balancing out the whole look.  I like to wear a more fitted top with maybe a frill (like mine today) or a fabric with a big bold pattern.

Style Not Age - Sharing our Tutti Frutti Numbers!

Hello there.
How's it going in blogging land?

You remember I'm on holiday this week, so as we 'speak' I'll be lazing by the pool in Majorca (hopefully).
Packing was a lot easier as I'd got lots sorted a week or so before leaving.  What I tend to do is pull everything out that is a 'possibility' and whittle it down to what I actually take.  I've over-packed for so many years which ends up with me bringing loads home unworn.  Not this year I'm packing light, plus there's room for the odd frivolous purchase ... or three when I'm there. 😉
As it's the last Monday of the month you've joined me for the Style Not Age challenge that was presented by Emma.

So without further ado let me share what it is ....
Our outfits are styled around the prompt Tutti Frutti.

All I could think about when I found out about this title was the sweets - Tooty Frooties. They were a firm favourite of mine back in the 80's but I don't see them in the shops now, so maybe they don't make them anymore .. shame!

Lotus Trainers with a Salamander Shirt - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my friends.
Hope you're doing well.

I'm a tad excited as I'm off on holiday on Saturday, unless the airports or any other interventions have other ideas.  There's 18 of us travelling to Majorca to stay in an all inclusive hotel in Can Picafort (thought I'd mention that so you could avoid the area) 🤣.

I'm nearly packed and not putting too much in as I know not everything will be worn.  I always pack one pieces like dresses and jumpsuits, it makes it so much easier not having to work out what goes with what - all that I have to think about is what accessories I will need.

Whilst I like to wear dresses, I also love to wear separates & you don't need to look too far to see that.
Today I want to share a casual outfit of jeans and shirt - a flattering and classic look that works well for everyday wear which, I hope you agree, still looks stylish.

Orange

Morning my friends.
How was your weekend?

I'm on the run-up to my holiday, this week I'll be getting all of my toiletries bought, my nails done, eyelashes sorted and generally properly sorting my case.  I have a couple of bits to buy at the airport, but basically I'm done.

Father's Day yesterday was lovely, we went out for breakfast to a local cafe, I don't usually have breakfast, but decided to have poached egg on sourdough with smashed avocado and smoked salmon - It was delicious, but really filled me up.  I did managed to enjoy the Tapas meal the kids arranged for David at my daughters house. I'll be smelling all garlicky this morning in my gym classes, but the food they all prepared was worth it, shall I tempt you?  Okay I will!  We ate garlic king prawns, meatballs, cous cous, roasted chicken, merguez sausages, chorizo & peppers in tomato sauce & potato bravas - sounds amazing doesn't it!  We had a super afternoon with beers and sangria to wash down the tapas dishes. Did you have a celebration for Father's Day, hope you special men were spoilt X
Alas I don't have my dad around, neither does David but we did raise a glass to them as we always do.

Today I thought I'd share my look from yesterday with you, it's another peek at my orange espadrilles.

Father's Day Ideas with Cotton Traders - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello there,
How are you today?

We've had super weather here over the past few days, and it certainly feels like Summer might have arrived.  I have my holiday with the kids in just over a week's time, so I've been gradually getting my case sorted.  I don't need many new pieces as I often have a 'special' wardrobe for holiday wear ... I was chatting to my beauty therapist the other week and she was telling me she has clothes and jewellery just for her holidays too!  I tend to wear bits that I maybe wouldn't wear at home, this often feels like I have a whole new wardrobe for my trip ... do tell me we are not the only ones who do this!!!

On Sunday it's Father's Day here in the UK, and as I've been kindly gifted these pieces by Cotton Traders I wanted to share a couple of ideas with you so you can surprise your dad on his special day!  Some Father's are very tricky to buy for as they either don't NEED anything, (unlike us girls) or they buy things themselves.  Well these post might just give you a few possibilities!

Co-ord from Nomads & Espadrilles from Lotus.

Morning everyone.
How are you doing?

I'm doing well and feeling in such a happy mood.  I've had a super weekend, been to the gym, am getting into the holiday mode with my trip to Majorca which is only a couple of weeks away and the sun is shining today!  Maybe my outfit of yellow and white last week worked it's magic and the weather is going to be nice!
On Saturday after working in the garden, David and I went out with our friends to a lovely restaurant near us.  The views from The Crescent Turner were amazing and all the staff were really friendly (my friend's daughter works there and really did spoil us).  There was a wedding being celebrated in the teepee they have up.  It all looked and sounded charming, but we were all surprised to see the bride sitting on her own eating some chips and sandwiches, so we invited her to our table and not sit on her own! We had a lovely chat about her day and telling her how long we'd been married etc ... and then off she went back to celebrate her wedding with her friends and family! It was quite bizarre!

Sunday we had a BBQ, the weather, still playing fair, was lovely to sit in and we took full advantage of the garden to enjoy the afternoon.  Monday has come around way to soon, which is why this post is so late coming out ... do forgive me my friends. X

Today's outfit just seemed to fall into place!  I received this co-ord from Nomads Clothing and the sandals from Lotus shoes and they just seemed to click with each other.

Enticing the sun to come out and stay! - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hiya my friends.
Don't mind me I'm lazing in the garden as it way too hot to do anything ...
Urmm, sorry I was dreaming it's actually very cold and rather changeable here in the UK isn't it, one minute it's sunny, the next it's pouring with rain!  I'm itching to get into my summer clothes but most of them are still waiting to be worn!  I've not even put many of my jumpers & tracksuits away as I'm still wearing them!  What's going on with mother nature, with mixed weather from the remnants of Storm Alex later in the week it's not going to get any better is it!  I feel like investing in a trendy rain mac will be a good idea, ha ha!

What's the best thing to do when the weather is crap?  Wear something bright and cheerful of course.
My yellow and white outfit is to inspire some sunshine to arrive and banish the rain - hope it works!

May Review.

Hi there my friends.
How's your weekend gone?
Here in the UK we've had a wonderful 4 day bank holiday weekend with lots of celebrations for the Queens Platinum Jubilee.  You can read about my experiences with the Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilee in last Thursday's post.
June has arrived for us all, and rather than Flaming June we've definitely got cold and wet June - doesn't sound too good does it!  It also means it's time for a recap of last month's outfits, do stay and read about my May Review post.X

I was delighted to receive these sandals from Moshulu at the beginning of May, I had hoped to wear them more often over the past month and I have to admit to doing my best and donning them at every opportunity, but when It's so cold and raining I had to draw the line and wear shoes a tad warmer and more covered in.  Come the end of the month I'll be strutting my stuff in Majorca so you can be sure they'll be joining me there!

Platinum Jubilee & Have you Planned for the Future? - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hiya everyone, how are you?
I'm all good and anticipating a fantastic long weekend celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Haven't got anything planned but whatever I do it will be with the family and some friends, I'll keep you posted what I get up to!

I wanted to get into the festive mood though and have decided to wear red white and blue in my outfits this week.  This is one I wore on Tuesday.
This T shirt dress I've had for ages, & I love the navy and white stripes - makes it quite nautical really and the colours make it very patriotic too!   I picked it up before a holiday in Matalan.  It's so soft & comfortable to wear, it just slips over the head and can be worn with a belt or just loose like this.  I like that it's full length and the extra splits up either side add a little sass to the look.  I added some red beads, the only one's I actually own and were a gift from my son one Christmas.
Trainers really do give dresses and edgy look and I'm hooked on wearing mine whenever I can, I've also got two new pairs to share with you - do watch out for them on my Instagram page.  I topped the whole thing off with a jean jacket, I've acquired this one from my daughter, it's too big for her so she passed it onto me ... how lucky!

This is a sponsored post, however these are my own honest comments.

When I was younger I never envisaged reaching my thirties let alone my 50's it's almost like I blinked and became 58 - does anyone else feel like this?
