Hello and welcome. 

How’s your week going?

I’m very excited as I’m away tomorrow. David and I are going back to Sicily for a long weekend which will include our 40th wedding anniversary. I wasn’t sure I’d get away as Mount Etna has been erupting (how rude eh) and some flights were cancelled. It’s looking okay now, so I’ll be on my way early tomorrow morning. I’ll be sharing my trip on instagram, so do follow along. 

Wedding preparations are in full swing and not only is it nerve racking, but exciting and emotional at the same time. I’m still looking for my dress and have had plenty of obstacles so far but I’m out today looking so fingers crossed I find ‘my dress’ today! ❤️

I’ve got weddings on the brain for sure,  so I thought as I can’t show you my Mother of the Bride dress yet, but I can show you this one from M&Co which could easily be a guest dress option.

June Review.

Hello my friends.

I hope everything is good in your life. 

All okay for me. It’s been really quite hectic. I think that’s because of the impending hen weekend, a trip to Sicily for my 40th anniversary and the wedding at the end of August which is over the bank holiday. I’m starting to get excited for the next few weeks. There’s lots to do and get sorted but sometimes when you’re busy you can get everything done and enjoy it!

I’ve had a great weekend. Saturday was spent in the garden. I’ve been weeding and trimming with David doing the harder jobs. We’re getting it ready for the wedding so it’s going to be full on at every opportunity. I need to keep on top of the weeds and grass cutting. 

We had a 40th birthday party to attend on Sat evening. It was my twin nephew’s birthday along with one of their wife’s! All the family went except for my mum, and it was good to see them all enjoying themselves, and I even joined in with a few dance moves too - the grandkids liked that! It ended up a late night so I felt really flat yesterday. Fortunately there wasn’t anything to do so I had a relaxing day watching the F1 and debating whether to watch the football which was scheduled for 1am! I’ll add an edit to let you know if I watched it or not! 

**Late Edit ** I didn’t watch the footy but loved seeing the result when I woke up this morning! 3 - 2 to England!!

How are you all on the 2nd July?

I can’t believe how fast this year is going. I think it’s because I’m so busy with wedding planning, Airbnb work and going to the gym along with family life. It’s never a boring day at Mummabstylish’s house!

David is back from the stag weekend in Tenerife. They all had a good time and everything went smoothly - phew. It’ll soon be the hens turn, woohoo! We’re visiting Salou in Spain, and I’m getting very excited now. The outfits are coming together and I plan to add each one to a packing cube so I’ll know exactly where they are in the case. I’ll be sharing a case, so it’ll make life easier for whoever gets the short straw! ( I like to take a lot with me. 😬)
