Hope you’ve have a splendid week.
I’ve had a lovely, albeit very busy weekend and the next couple of weeks will be no different. I’m away next weekend and off to Cornwall the week after to visit my uncle.
I’ve had the run of birthdays last week, which started with mine. I was very spoilt by everyone with some lovely flowers, some excellent gifts and lots of sweet cards with lovely words in them. Anyone else love reading the words in cards? I’ve got a bit of a break until the next celebratory days arrive, which are spaced apart now.
On Friday it was my granddaughters 11th birthday, I can’t believe how fast the years fly by. It seems like only yesterday she was born. I also went to my ballroom class where we started learning the jive! We’ve done this one before and I have to say it’s not one of my favourites, but maybe it’s because we’re learning it slowly, which is a shame because I’ll miss the next two sessions, so will be back to square one!
On Saturday I caught up with some ironing and housework. I was on my own and managed to get loads done, and got the house nice and tidy. When David got home he came with me to the local shopping centre where I had to pick up a package from Next. David picked up a few bits in there and also in M&S, but unfortunately the jeans I’m after were still not available and as the online facility is down, I’ll have to wait until I pop in again! I’m still after those barrel leg jeans - which is a pain!
On Sunday, after helping with the AirBnb I went with the girls to my granddaughter’s birthday party. She went to a place called Elev8 which has all sorts of trampolines, games, soft play areas and an arcade. They all had a brilliant time whilst enjoying all the different areas so my girls and I managed to chat & catch up over coffee’s. After that we took them to McDonald’s which they loved. I’m very proud to say I passed on any of the fast food due to my Keto diet! I also cooked a roast when I got home complete with roasted cauliflower and vegetables. Have any of you ever tried the Keto diet?
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my honest comments.
Have you got your holiday clothes ready yet? I’ve got a drawer under my bed full of summer items that only appear when I’m going on holiday or when the weather is really hot! This stunning sundress is going to be a perfect item for hot sunny days both abroad and at home. I have to admit I’m revelling in getting into smaller sizes and aim to keep my weight off with this mindset, there’s nothing better to spur you on than feeling confident in a smaller size dress. ❤️
I picked this bright red beauty up in F&F last week. It’s the fashionable A line style which is both flattering and comfy to wear. It’s definitely a holiday dress as the floaty feel and less restrictive style will be right at home in the hotter weather. Priced at under £20 too so easy on your bank balance as well. Anything red is always complimented by tan accessories and my new sandals * from Hotter Shoes are a match made in heaven for this striking sundress.
Hotter shoes have kindly offered me a personal discount code which I’m pleased to share with you! Grab 20% off using this code at checkout. ❤️SSMBS20
These classic sandals are so comfortable and slip on nicely - fitting in all the right places. I’m a half size and find the 6.5 fits me like a glove. Hotter shoes offer four other colours and the sturdy toe post style offers a cushioned contoured cork wedge sole and adjustable buckle fastening. Priced at a reasonable £69 these summer sandals will have you walking on air in a very stylish way.
My tan basket bag matched my footwear beautifully and the summery feel makes this my “go to” choice for warm sunny days. ☀️ Check this dreamy option here.
Good to have you join me again, thanks so much I appreciate your support.
Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you on Thursday.
