Crochet Skirt/Waistcoat - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Good morning my friends.
How’s it going?

I’ve had such a busy few weeks, I don’t actually know if I’m coming or going! I’m away at the weekend so I’ve been getting everything sorted and in place but there’s still so much to do! I’m only away for a couple of nights and it’ll be amazing once I finally get on the train. We’re off to France with four friends, I can’t say where we’re going as they read the blog … sorry Mrs W! 😂

I’m planning a little capsule collection for the long weekend and I’m hoping the weather is nice so I can wear my new red trousers and white jacket. If you follow along on IG I’ll share my choices with you and do a detailed post next week.

Today I’m bringing my crochet piece to the game, so sharing this stunning skirt I’ve recently added to my collection.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Have you spotted the trending lace skirts? I tried the M&S one on a while back, but didn’t really like it on me. There’s also a similar one in Tu @ Sainsbury’s but it’s not quite what I wanted. So when I saw this gorgeous crochet version on the Izabel London site I jumped at it.

I can see it work with a Tee shirt and trainers for a casual laidback look like visiting a museum or a day out in the city.

Imagine how pleased I felt when it arrived and I saw how lovely it was. It’s a maxi length with a drawstring waist and pretty circular design & I knew it was more my thing than the lace versions. I slipped it on and immediately fell for it. It fits superbly and flatters my slimmer shape nicely.
I guarantee you’ll love it as much as I do and can happily recommend you purchase your usual size.

This neutral cream skirt * has a slight stretch to it and hugs in all the right places. It’s also got a lining which I think is a big positive as it’s slightly see through.
Priced at a reasonable £35 it’s a breath of fresh air to my summer wardrobe when this’ll be perfect for Summer holidays and family parties. I can see it work with a Tee shirt and trainers for a casual laidback look like visiting a museum or days out in the city.

Waistcoats are making big news in the fashion stakes too. We were wearing them in Winter over jumpers and now we’re freeing our arms and wearing them on their own.
I’m not really a fan of my arms right now. You see since losing over a stone on the Keto diet they’ve become very crepey and saggy and I generally like to have them covered. I’ve been using Murad - Retinal ReSculpt Body Treatment which I’m interested to see the result in the next few weeks.

Please use code DUEL20-zgns5u for 20% off their products including the above cream.

Final additions for my dreamy outfit are my ever faithful cream mules. I’ve had these many years now and they were about £12 from Deichman (similar) and have accompanied me on many holidays, been worn to parties and popped on to head to the supermarket and I really wished I’d got them in black too! I kept the bag neutral too and used my much loved cream leather coccinelle clutch (similar).
