Style not Age - What I would wear on the Frow.

Hello everyone.
Thanks for visiting me today.
Just in time for August's Style not Age challenge.
I'm snatching a few minutes to get on top of my blogging, it's hard to find the time with the house full with grandkids to play with, love and cuddle but I know they won't be here for much longer as their renovation and extension is nearly ready.  I'm so excited for them to have a new place - they have their own bedrooms, a playroom, huge garden and a wonderful living area.  It's so big I'm sure they will all have their own space with no rows or upsets - I think you can work out for yourselves if that will happen or not! Lol
So back to the matter in hand - August edition of Style not Age.
Anna, Hilda, Emma & I have been hard at work preparing for the challenge set by Gail.
Do hope you think we are all ready for the Front Row in our styling for ....

What I would Wear on the Frow.

I was in a quandray over today's challenge and shopped twice to find the right outfit.  The first turned out a little too risque.  A leather look bodice with black chiffon maxi skirt that was sheer VERY sheer therefore not at all suitable.
I think it's turned out for the better as I can see me wearing this again - especially if I get invited to any fashion shows!
I went with wide leg trousers and black always work don't they?  I paired a sheer blouse from TK Maxx, that has statement pockets and bold tortoise shell buttons, to hang over the palazzo trousers in a way that Trinny Woodall would be satisfied.  I love the deep v split either side that give both fluid and flattering lines.

Now there's a story with the jacket, I bought it for my daughter some years ago.  Since she's dropped a couple of dress sizes it's no longer wearable, so I acquired it before she sent it to charity.  It's the first time I've worn it as the weather's been too hot, but I can assure you that will all change now that the weather has!!

I would normal put my hand on black boots or shoes to play with this outfit, but stepping out of my comfort level I opted for trainers and fell completely in love with the edgy vibe it gave.  I'm definitely ready for the Frow.

You might think I've not spent an hour or so on styling my hair for the shoot, but mother nature and Storm Francis had other ideas. 😐

I wanted to mix up my gold, silvers and bronze for this look and am feeling very smug that it worked!
The aztec jacket has gold details running through - as do my Gold Sunglasses, black metallic necklace, black and silver bangles - completed by a bronze clutch.  I'm relishing the precious metal  mix-up.

Let's catch up with the rest of the gang.
Starting with Gail - Is This Mutton? who's idea it was. Doesn't she look the part in her boat-neck black and white dress - the perfect attire for studying up coming trends and colours.

Anna - Anna's Island Style is showing us another black and white ensemble with a bold splash of bright pink with her arm-candy bag, you certainly look at home for your outdoor fashion parade Anna. x

Hilda - Over the Hilda. has featured another black outfit with a stunning and powerful leopard print blouse.  But she's topped the outfit off brilliantly with her statement hat!

Finally here's Emma - Style Splash sharing her outfit for the front row.  Another professional outfit in the ever popular black and white-with-a-hint-of-leopard, show stealer has to be the bag, would have fitted right in with my outfit too!  Oh and can I please borrow your leather look shorts Emma?  💜

Hope we've inspired you with our Front Row outfits, so share what you'd wear to a fashion show in the comments below, would love to hear from you. X
Much appreciation to Esther Ruby for taking these super photos!
