Burgundy & Tan Works beautifully together - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Good morning.
Hope you’re well.

Well we’re well and truly into the festive season aren’t we! Christmas is everywhere in the shops and I have to admit to having two Christmas trees up already! They look SO nice and I love to see the twinkling lights with all my favourite baubles and tree decorations sparkling and shining on it. I’ve had the main one, which is in the front room, a couple of years shy of 30 years - god that’s a long time that’s gone so fast. We bought it the first year we moved into our new build, a year after my fifth baby was born. James is now 28 so it’s a few years old & still looks amazing. I also love the decorative ornaments over it, I’ve been building my collection and like to buy a new one whenever I go away around this festive season, they all mean a huge amount to me. I bought some in Baden Baden, Scotland and Valmorel, so when I place them it reminds me of the holiday or long weekend I bought them!

I’ve been trying to add more interesting outfits into my posts so when I found this burgundy and tan ensemble, I wanted to wear and share it immediately. I added it to my Instagram account but until today failed to share it with you!

Both items have been gifted to me, and I’ve linked back to the original posts so you can find out all about them.

I got this lovely skirt a while back and errr’d on the side of safety - pairing it with a burgundy jumper to give a block coloured look. It worked nicely with the grey checked blazer over the top and would be an outfit I’d happily wear any day. Now there’s a but …. but I wanted to add a bit of extra interest to my look and noted this top had not only wine flavours over it but tan vibes too.  I knew, even before putting them together, that they would compliment each other and once I’d reached for the tan faux suede jacket and tan boots I’d got another outfit that would be ready, willing and able to put on at the drop of a hat! Do let me know what you think of this combo. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ‡

The patterned top has a slight stretch to it and is cool to the touch, it’s got a flattering scoop neckline and long sleeves that have a gathered effect on the bottom. I love the mix of colours over it and have also worn it with denim in the past too!

Isn’t the skirt wonderful, it’s an A Line style which has always been popular and I’m sure you can see why. It’s a flattering look that’s midi length and has a nice hold which gives the wearer a great silhouette. I feel very feminine in it and love not only how it looks, but how it makes me feel too. X

Now here you can see how well the colours go together can’t you. The mix over this top blends everything together nicely and forms the perfect friendship for a dressy outfit that’ll be just right for a lunch date, cinema trip or date night outfit. One you’d wear?

As mentioned already I grabbed my tan slouch boots that I’ve had for years! I bought them online from Accessorize and just had to order the black leather pair too. That’s the best thing about buying leather, it just lasts and lasts so long as you keep it healthy with polish. Which reminds me, I need to clean mine! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Finally I used this wine bag. It’s gotten loads of use recently as this shade is most definitely trending atm, are you a fan of this style of bag and colour?
