How’s it going?
All good here albeit still very busy!
I think it’s a culmination of gym, grankids being on holiday and doing the AirBnb work! But the weeks seem to be flying by at a scary speed. Can you believe we’re nearly in the middle of August!
Do you recall I looked after my son’s dog? I loved it and she was so good for us. I did nearly lose her once when she escaped the garden when I turned my back! She was so quick and I nearly had a heart attack thinking I’d have to tell them she was lost or worse still! Gulp, in an accident! Fortunately all was well and she’d gone down the road and was running around someone’s garden. A very kind couple gathered her up and came looking for us (luckily coming in the right direction)! So I kept a very good eye on her after that and put her on the lead at every opportunity! Not that she liked that! But I had to keep my sanity going! Do you look after anyone’s animals? Let me know if you do and if you’ve had any mishaps too! So she’s back at home safe and sound now, I’m planning on having the grandkids at some stage so fingers crossed I won’t have to worry about losing either of them!!! lol.
I had a nice sunny day yesterday, so took full advantage of it taking these fab shots in this pretty sundress.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
So the weather played ball yesterday, and I wore this sundress with some old espadrilles. It felt so good to have the sun on my arms. This is from Izabel and I’m still elated to be affiliated with them, you can find this gorgeous sundress * over here.
I was thinking, when I had this on yesterday, about how well it fits me. I now wear a size 12. For many years I’d choose a size 14 but they never really fitted me right, I’m a pear shape. The bottom half fitted well but the bust area was always way too big and either gaped or was baggy. Fast forward to me having lost over a stone doing Keto and I’m proud as punch to be able to get into a size 12 (UK) and have it fit perfectly. I reckon they look better on me too, what do you think?
Let me tell you a bit about this stunning midi. It’s mid calf (hence midi length) and has a lovely tiered effect which gives so much volume to the skirt. It moves about so nicely and the fabric is so soft and comfy it’s been a joy to wear. The bust area fits well too, it’s got smock detail on the back making it really easy to get on and move about in. The wider straps fit beautifully and although I wore a strapless bra it can easily accommodate a bra with straps and not give any clue that’s what you’re wearing!
It’s a blue and white mosaic design which makes it the perfect holiday dress, this would be right at home in the Greek Island or anywhere in Spain. Must’nt forget to add this on to my next trip abroad! Available in a range of sizes I’m pleased to say the sizing is true so get your usual one and you won’t be disappointed. Priced at a very reasonable £55 this is one beauty you don’t want to loose and after all seeing as you can dress it up with heels for a stylish evening out or pick your flat mules and wear it to the shops for a bit of shopping and light lunch with the girls. I popped a bead necklace on with it for a full beach vibe. What would you wear?
Here’s the back view where you can see the ruched detail. That’s a very flattering finish don’t you think?
Last but not least I added some lace up espadrilles that have been hanging around my wardrobe for a couple of years. I won’t say they’re the most comfy but I got a good couple of hours out of them! I got these a few years ago but New Look still have these which are very similar.

Love the print of this dress, a fabulous holiday buy! Well done on the weight loss, I am working on my weight ATM xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful dress! I love the pattern/color too. I've only pet sit my mother in law's cat a time or two when she was in the hospital but I'm not really a "pet" person so my family and friends know not to ask me. LOL. Glad you got your son's dog back! Friends of ours went on vacation and their dog snuck away from the sitter and it's been 2 weeks and they've yet to get him back. There have been sightings of him all over the neighborhood but he's running away from everything and everything in fear. I feel so bad for them (and for their sitter who I am sure feels just awful).
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress! I saw it on your Insta. The color and fit are perfection on you!
