Style not Age enjoy Sunset Shades.

Morning everyone
Hows your Bank Holiday Weekend going?

We actually went out on Saturday night. We had dinner with friends in a new local restaurant and had a wonderful time and a fantastic meal! There was a 40th birthday party at the next table which turned out to be someone I knew. We joined in some of the celebrations and I even got to have a little boogie! Copious amounts of fizz was consumed and the next morning was relatively slow. I soon brightened up after helping my daughter clean the AirBnb and after shopping for roast beef ingredients prepared, with chef David, a delicious dinner complete with Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. I was completely stuffed so spent the evening relaxing on the sofa before an early night. How did you spend your Sunday? Today is Bank Holiday Monday and both David and I decided to do absolutely nothing! Let’s see how that pans out! lol!

The last Monday of the month can only mean we take a look at what the Style not Age ladies have planned for us.  This month’s theme fell into Emma’s lap and she gave us the delightful prompt of Sunset Shades.

Any avid followers will remember this two piece was the one I bought in Sicily a couple of years ago. We’d shopped in Taormina on one of the days there and after browsing numerous shops I spotted this and instantly tried it on. It fitted beautifully so I bought it. I couldn’t wait to wear it and popped it on that very night. I had to say it fits me much better now and I’ll be looking forward to wearing it again soon.

This silky number is a luxurious soft satin and feels just as elegant on as it looks. The maxi swishes around nicely and the matching top, that has nice little fluted cap sleeves, looks equally as good tucked in or left hanging with a belt to cinch it in. I opted for bright orange, sunset tones are so rich and warm aren’t they. 🧡❤️

I like the addition of the pussy bow tie. With the top left hanging out I prefer having the bow shorter, however if I’d have tucked the top in, leaving the tie hanging loose, looks much better.

My coral red
co-ord is simply delicious to wear and it’s really a shade to get noticed in! I think this outfit will impress the sun itself with its epitome of sunset colours.

I could only add gold jewellery into this mix, so wore my chunky gold cuff and gold watch but left off picking a necklace, I didn’t want anything fussy around my neck which could take away the charming look of that whimsical bow-tie detail.

Now you’ve heard all about my outfit let’s have a wander around my three friends interpretation of the prompt.

First up it’s Emma’s turn.
Like me Emma shopped her wardrobe and rediscovered the trouser/blouse combination in her loft. So pleased she didn’t get rid of this stunning outfit as it still looks amazing on. See more of this outfit on her blog Style Splash.

Anna - Anna’s Island Style  another shopped from the closet look from Anna, and this dress is a beautiful reflection of a subtle sunset.

Hilda - Over the Hilda took this photo on a recent holiday, her pretty top is a ball of sunshine in a blue sky. Like us all she searched her wardrobe for this lovely look.

Thanks so much for following us today, we all really appreciate your support and would love you to come back next month, or please join me on Thursday for the linkup.
Until next time.
Cheerio. X
