Black & White Stripes with Ecru Jeans -Chic & Stylish #LINKUP

Hi there everyone.
Is your week going well?

Just normal stuff for me with Max’s birthday yesterday which was the highlight!  He’s 2 and I can’t believe how quickly the past two years have gone. He’s living with me, along with his mum and dad as their house is still being extended. Therefore, yes it was a mad house with all the family and a few friends calling in on the afternoon. We had easy to prepare hotdogs, chips and onion rings washed down with beers (for the boys) and Prosecco … for me and my daughters. We had a chocolate and kinder cake which was so tasty and made by my daughter … Little Berry Bakes … you’ve seen her cakes but in case you haven’t here’s a link to her IG account.

I’ve started to think about Christmas now and am seriously considering putting the decorations up this weekend - too early? Nah not for me I love to see them covering the house and making everything festive. I also want to do some table scaping - is that a word? I think so. I understand it’s making the dinning table all pretty and Christmassy, any pointers or ideas greatly appreciated. When do you put your decs up?

Are you a fan of stripes?
I rather enjoy adding them to an outfit and feel a Parisian vibe whenever I don them. I was excited to receive this striking knitted jumper the other week and could not wait to style it because stripes always look fashionable eh? Do let me know your thoughts on my banded beauty.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own comments.

I knew immediately, once I’d opened the package from Izabel London, what I wanted to wear this fine knitted jumper with, fortunately the weather was nice and sunny so out came the ecru jeans. I love wearing them in colder seasons but always worry that wet weather will ruin them. Not a chance the other day, so I fully enjoyed the off-white jeans with the black stripped sweater worn over the top!

You know when you put a jumper on and it feels just right? Well this is just how this felt. It’s soft and snug without being too bulky. The sleeves just sit in the right place, as does the hem. I left it to hang and tucked one side into the waistband of my jeans. The neck is also lovely. It’s got a pretty zip that’s like a rose gold and could have been worn zipped up and tight to the neck (great if you’re wearing a layer underneath that you don’t want to be seen) or undone for a laidback feel.  The jumper is true to size and I picked my usual fit for this gifted item. Priced at £35, this bold pullover * will be a worthy addition to your Winter wardrobe.

I’ve worn these bootcut jeans on the blog before and they come out to play every once in a while when the weather plays nicely - I find them a bit too warm in Summer, so Winter and Autumn wear is actually perfect.  Hubby bought them for me and I ‘DIY’ frayed the hem’s for a more relaxed feel - look better don’t they.  A bootleg style is really flattering, so seeing as they're right on trend at the moment, it'll be worth getting a pair like mine. X

I wondered what boots or shoes to wear with them and was pleased when my new pewter cowboy boots arrived just in time. I’ve wanted to join the metallic trend for a while and set about finding something that fitted my criteria. I wanted a good heel height, and ankle boot with a nice pattern on them. Please step forward the winning pair. Debenhams sell online now and feature lots of other brands, so it was nice to have a look through their site, stopping when I spotted these from BooHoo.
I was pleased with the price of them, just £32 . So I definitely bagged a bargain with these trendy booties. 🩶

Last but not least my black bag completed the outfit for a chic and inspiring outfit that wouldn’t look out of place in any European capital!  I’ve also got a new black trench coat for the grand finale but, will share that on another occasion - do look out for it on the blog soon. 🖤

  1. It always sounds fun at the Berry House! I don't have many decorations but usually get them out, and the tree up, about 2 weeks before Christmas. And it all disappears on New Year's Day. Love those winter white jeans! xx

  3. Very nice outfit, I am not a big fan of stripes but I like yours as they don't go all the way. The boots are fabulous and add an edge vibe to the look.

  4. So many people in my neck of the woods have their Christmas decor up already. It's crazy! They seem to be going up earlier and earlier. I love that striped top on you! Thanks for the party.

  5. One of the boys has asked about putting the tree up, but I will wait till after Thanksgiving. We do love the coziness of the lights and tree. I love how stripes never go out of style. I am forever adding a striped top to my closet. Love the white on black here.

  6. I am not sure if my comment went through so here goes again! We will be putting up our tree after Thanksgiving: one of my boys has been asking as we love the lights and tree and the coziness it brings to the living room. Love your white on black stripes: stripes never go out of style.

  7. Love this casual outfit, I am a big fan of stripes! Great boots too, metallic silver is so on trend now. We traditionally put Our Christmas tree up and decorate right after Thanksgiving, and don't rush to take it down around the second week of January. Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for the link up party!

  9. Very stylish outfit! You can't go wrong with stripes. It sounds very busy in your house! I'm waiting until December before putting any decorations up - I'm actually not that keen on them. I don't like the hassle of getting them out of the loft and then taking them all down again in January. That said, Isobel usually decorates the tree so I'll let her take charge!

  10. I haven't put any Christmas decorations up as we won't have Thanksgiving until next week. Then, it's a lot of climbing up and down to get everything sorted from the attic and the "basement."

I love the stripes and the zip as well as the metallic boots! And, the frayed jeans are just right.

Thanks so much for the link up!
