How to wear Loafers - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my friends.
Hope you’re well.

Wow November, you seem to have arrived way too early.
It seems only last week I was wishing for Summer to arrive, well that didn’t really happen did it!

I'm still working on the post from my mum's 90th birthday festivities, so for today I thought I'd share an outfit I wore earlier this week.  It's based around my gifted loafers and I'd love to know what you think of it.

I wanted to show off the shoes to their full potential so picked these peg style trousers rather than my favourites ... my black wide leg trousers.  I've had these for a while and have a love - hate relationship with them.  One time I enjoy putting them on and love the way they look, other times I think they look awful - what do you think?

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comment.

So more about my gorgeous and oh-so-comfortable flats.  These aren't a look I would usually go for, but as they are very fashionable I thought I'd give them a go.  I'm so pleased I did, as they are very comfortable and easy to wear.  I've got little sock insoles on so no blisters for me and I wore them for a few hours on the first wear!

Loafers have always been off the horizon when fashion is concerned and have always been trendy in one way or another. Chunky soles have been favourites for a while now and they certainly give that extra bit of style when added to any outfit.

I’m liking this patent version * and feel it’ll look great with jeans and skirts too. The gold hardware is a nice addition, making them very eye-catching don’t you think? They’re also available in two other colours black which goes without saying is a really popular choice & wine which is a trending shade this season. Priced at just under £60, makes them an affordable pair for any shoe collection.

This was the perfect opportunity to wear my khaki coat again. The colour goes so well with both shirt and shoes and finishes off the look for a smart finish. I’d really like one in a cream colour, but not sure that’s the right shade for me, I can see it getting marks and stains over it!! What do you think? Would black be better? 😂

The chiffon shirt is a fabulous shade of green and is snake-print design. It also has a really pretty frayed detail down the front of the buttons which unfortunately you can’t see from the photos, it’s also features pretty little shiny black buttons that look very expensive. Do look out for details like this, they certainly take a nice shirt up a notch or two!  See it here in my New Dressing room.

Great to have you here today, so glad you could spare the time.
I'm having a bit of a mare recently as some of the keys on my computer aren't working!  I'm hoping my nephew will be able to sort it for me or else it might be time to get a new one.  In order to get blogging done I've been using an array of devices, so it's taking longer than normal to get things done and I've not been visiting your sites either - apologies for that!
Until next time have a super week.
Cheerio. X

  5. Loafters remind me of my ackward teenage years so I am not drawn to them but I have seen many ladies styling them. I like how your choice of pants showcase them.

  9. These loafers really look fabulous with those pants. I think they work well with the loafers, but I bet the loafers are even better with your wide leg pants. Love the trench, too.

Thank you so much for the feature! I'm still surprised when I see me! And, thanks for the link up! I hope you'll visit for the Weekend Traffic Jam!

  13. The loafers are fab! I love the gold chain detail on them. I have a few pairs of peg leg trousers which I used to wear all the time but I gravitate towards wide leg trousers now. That said, I was thinking about getting the peg leg trousers out of storage and trying them again, I think they look great with loafers.
