For any new followers I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. I started blogging a few years ago when my youngest started work. He’s the youngest of five children and with him at work I felt very redundant. I’d become very forgetful and had almost lost my way with fashion and how I should be dressing. So I looked for inspiration on other blogs and found there’s not a rule of what I should and shouldn’t wear - and everyone should wear what they want at any age. So Mummabstylish was born and I’ve loved the whole journey. I’ve made lots of new friends, even meeting some IRL which is so much fun, almost like meeting a celebrity! To date I’ve published over a thousand posts! It’s something I’m incredibly proud of what with having to learn nearly everything along the way. I’ll continue to do so and find it really therapeutic, it’s kind of like writing a diary and it’s been fun to look back on previous posts to see what I’ve been doing! lol.
I thank you for your continued support and hope one day I can meet some of my American friends across the pond.
Anyway that’s enough about me, now I’d like to show what I wore last week, more importantly the new balloon trousers I’ve been having a friendship with.
Items marked with an * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Balloon trousers, or you might know them as harem pants have been making a big impression over the past few months. They’re the ‘in’ thing to wear for casual styling or dressy evenings out and this pair I got from F&F the other week have proved to be a firm favourite for me. Alas the family aren’t fans but I’ll be working on them all!
This cream pair has an extremely comfortable elastic waist which means the pull on trousers are a breeze to wear and I feel so relaxed in them. I had a go at styling them the other day and you can view some other looks on this post from Instagram.
Today I’m sharing how I worked a knitted top into the equation along with my cutout dolly shoes giving a more laidback feel. This is something I’d wear to the supermarket or maybe talk a walk along the beach in. The flat shoes brings my look down for a more natural feel. But on that previous reel you can see how I took the whole look up a notch with heels and a striking waistcoat to make this outfit perfect for a dinner date. Do let me know how your style these beautiful cream trousers which I might add have pockets and an adjustable tie on the cuff that sits on the hem.
I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to show you my latest Elie Beaumont bag. It’s a sturdy lightweight fabric tote bag in a striking cream jacquard print * that’s got gold lurex running through. It’s also got a little ruffle on the edges which looks so pretty and the handles are long enough to throw the everyday bag over the shoulder. It’s got pockets on the inside and is fully lined. This new bag is a fantastic addition and I’ll be taking this on the hen weekend next month as it’ll be suitable for travelling with and taking to the pool. Watch out for this beauty.
Please don’t forget to use my personal code on the Elie Beaumont website for a discount at checkout. JQ10
The new bag really is the icing on the cake!
