Summer Loving having a Blast with Style not Age.

Morning my friends.
Well that was a scorcher! With not a lot of actual sunshine on Sunday

David has been away on the stag weekend and he’s not back until tomorrow. For me it’s been hard as we’re ALWAYS together. I’ve been with my daughters and the grandkids so it’s been fun but I hate not having him around!

I’ve went to the Ashford outlet yesterday, but came home with nothing but a sports bra! The shops are dire and I’m going to have to resort to shopping online! I need some summer flats to take away, but didn’t see any I really liked so I’ve been doing the thing I hate … scrolling the web. It’s so boring and I get so annoyed, anyone else have that problem? I’ll just have to do little and often, and fingers crossed I find what I want. 🤞

My post today features three of my lovely friends from the Style not Age gang and this month we’re
Summer Loving and having a blast with our favourite Summer outfits that have been on repeat over the past few weeks. Stay tuned to find out what my three friends have been reaching for.

Now today’s prompt was set by Hilda, the theme covers outfits that we wear on repeat throughout Summer. Over the recent week the  clothing I’ve been reaching for wasn’t really what I like to be seen it but to be honest it’s just been way too hot to wear anything else. The mere thought of getting dressed up with makeup and heels has been the furthest thing from my mind. I’ve been rotating shorts and little cami tops which has been a picture I can say! Also the hair has been scrapped up in a pony tails any long strands around my neck have been making me feel even hotter! I struggled wearing this cute dress and heels last week when I visited The Lucky Cat in London.

So my next best look, that’s way more presentable, is a sundress. You all know how much I loving donning a dress so a sundress when it’s hot is the perfect look, especially when I want to look a bit dressier. This cute maxi is lovely. I can slide it on without needing a bra and it’s really good at covering up any lumpy bits. It’s also good for when you’re feeling hot, sticky & bloated - symptoms we’re all familiar with I’m sure. I like that it’s full length, it’s so nice to flounce around it and still look chic.

I bought the maxi from Shein. I know this company a bit controversial, but I tend to buy items that are classic styles which I’ll keep for years. I really do get my monies worth. Once I’ve finished with clothes I tend to either give them to charity or seek on Vinted. It’s a great way to repurpose items. Is this something you do?
I love the classic style, it’s a A line with a v neck and little adjustable straps. The black edging compliments the swirls of blush pink and black nicely - giving it an elegant vibe.

It can be paired with heels, but looks just as stylish with flat sandals. I chose these mules, which I’ve had for years and I always fall back on. I must replace them but they’re ever so comfortable!

I finally added gold jewellery and a cute straw bag that’s edged in tan leather. This is one I’ll be adding to my suitcase for my trip to Sicily along with rewearing it over the next few weeks too.

Now let’s see how my friends fared with the challenge.

First up Hilda has embraced the balloon trouser. She’s been loving these for definitely and even wore them to see Michael Bublé recently. Check out the feel details on the blog Over the Hilda.

Secondly, Emma opted for an H&M dress which was a Vinted find. She’s really keeping cool in this lemon covered dress, must remind her of a cold G&T. 🍋

Last but by no means least what did Anna choose?
Fancy shirts and vibrant jumper is what She calls for, a girl after my own heart but looks way better in hers than I do!

Good to see you all and I do hope we’ve inspired you to show off your Summer favourites, do share in the comments section what you keep reaching for my friends.
Cheerio for now. X
