Relaxing in a maxi dress.

Hi there.
How’s your world turning?

Hope you’ve had a good weekend, went too fast didn’t it!
Although I didn’t do much it was lovely.

I’d planned to have a BBQ yesterday but the weather had other ideas! We ended up having a family roast which was brilliant. Having been on my keto diet for a few months therefore potatoes and other carbs have been off the menu (unless I’d cheated) so it was a delicious addition to have a couple of roasties along with a Yorkshire pudding with my roast chicken dinner. It’s been ages since all the family go together and although last minute everyone except my son and his family came round. It was a mad house though as the kids couldn’t really play outside (however they did at times)! Do you have big family gatherings? The best times aren’t they!

I was talking about how to slow down a busy life on Instagram last week. How do you like to relax and unwind?
Taking a walk in the countryside works for me when I’m a bit het-up and stressed, so last week and a busy few days I took myself off for a little stroll in this stunning dress. Swishing and swaying in this beauty did make me happy as the photos show. ☺️

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

When life gets a bit hectic, how do you relax? You might find taking a walk works for you too or maybe having a pamper session in the salon is your thing. Some people will turn to the gym, some may like to have a slap up meal or open a bottle of wine - whatever works for you is the best answer.

Let’s focus on my dress now. Isn’t it gorgeous? The amount of fabric in the skirt is phenomenal and I feel amazing in it. Nothing says feminine more than a full skirt, with a fitted top which shows my shape off nicely and it’s a striking pink which just so happens is my favourite colour. It’s got a tummy-slimming effect by way of the ruched panel on the front which is a marvel for ladies who don’t like their tummy area. There’s a tie belt which is attached on the sides, I tied this on the back. Have a look at the sizes on the website, * it fits true to size and I wear a size 12!

It’s got flattering little fluted sleeves which are very pretty and work hard at covering up that little bit I hate at the top of my arms - anyone else hate that bit?

I mixed up the accessories - picking out the accent colour of pink for my sandals (similar). These are cross over mules with a medium heel, an easy to wear style that works perfectly in the summer and these look great with jeans as well. The background of this floral fabric is a coral pink which I matched with a little clutch bag that’s got a cutout pattern over it. I had matching shoes a few years back, but they got too wide for me, and I like to mix and match nowadays does that work for you too?

Great to have you here, I do love to have your company. Let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments section below ⬇️.
Until Thursday have a good few days and don’t forget to join my linkup too.
