How’s your month been?
We’re heading into the festive season at a pace. It’s Halloween at the weekend and I’ll then be thinking about Christmas (I’ve already bought a couple of gifts!) I’m really getting excited to put my devs up too. Just ‘when’ is too early my friends??
I’ve had a busy few weeks with me attending two event in London for Bonmarche and Boost Lab. it’s always exciting to head to the capital, meeting like minded ladies and enjoying the latest products and garments which give me ideas for the future. Have you been to events like these?
As I mentioned above I recently went to an event in London for an Australian brand called Boost Lab. I’m happy to share their products with you today along with a sneak peak into the event which was held in the West End!

Having been to London the weekend before I felt a complete professional at finding my way around the big city. In truth I was very nervous and had to make sure I’d checked and double checked all the details including how to get from London Victoria to the venue which was in Mortimers street just off Regent’s Street. I’d taken a screen shot of the map route and memorised the journey so I didn’t get lost. Fortunately after arriving at the wrong exit in Oxford Circus I found the Ikea I needed to check the route - (the very kind staff on the tube let us back into the correct area so we could leave at exit 1.) I actually went to the Boost Lab event with my sister which was lovely and isn’t it always better to have someone else to fall back on and confirm what you think is right!
Upon arriving we bumped into a few friends. Isn’t that one of the best things about blogging and social media! The friends you make along the way. We greeted each and made our way up to the 6th floor where the gathering was held. Stepping out into the room was amazing. So many beautiful ladies all with the same agenda - to chat, gain knowledge, have a good time and meet new friends. All mixed in with some delicious cocktails, a tasty lunch and a lengthy chat with the two Lisa’s - one the founder of Boost Lab, which is an Australian company & Lisa Snowdon, the brand ambassador.
Mingling and chatting ensued with vigour, taking photos was top of everyone’s list and the room was buzzing with excitement, obviously helped along by the choice of cocktails. I took an Aperol Spritz! My fav!
Everyone got to fill out a shopping list as to what their skin needed. I came home with some favourites along with a couple of new-to-me products namely the eye patches (brilliant), a new neck serum and my dreamy eye collagen (a must have for me!)
We eventually took our seats for the intimate talk with the two Lisa’s. We learnt how the company was born, how the products are manufactured, how they help women going through the menopause and how the skin care routines are so important. Years ago when I was younger skincare wasn’t a thing, it’s only in later years that I’ve done more about it. I feel maybe it’s a little too late but something has to be better than nothing eh?
I use all the products daily and even if I’ve run out of something I use some sort of alternative. I agree many products are better than others but using something instead of nothing has to be an advantage!
I came home with a belly full of food, a bag full of products and a mind full of memories, what can be better than that?
