Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend and enjoyed good weather.
It’s been changeable weather here in the UK with sunny spells interrupted by rain showers and wind! Saturday was spent in the new build. We’ve put it on hold since before the wedding and am now getting back into the swing of it. I need to get looking at kitchens again, as it won’t be long before we’ll be needing one!
Saturday night was spent watching telly with my favourite Strictly come Dancing on early evening and a catch up with football in the latter part. I got engrossed in watching Tiktoks on my phone though. I love watching tutorials. Makeup and beauty routines for over sixties. I like to learn routines, exercises and makeup applications, hoping they can help me. Does anyone else feel a bit miffed when watching them though? Ladies, well beautiful ladies sharing creams, lotions & potions and I honestly feel some of them might have had Botox or fillers or may even have had surgical treatments but don’t divulge it! I realise they don’t have to but I’d like to know if the products etc actually work! I’ve recently bought a new cleanser from Tropic. It’s a buttery silky oil which removes makeup, SPF and pollutants without disturbing the skins natural lipid layer. The Renewing Cleanser gives excellent results and my skin feels so much softer and supple and I’m hooked on this ceramide cleanser and can throughly recommend it.
Today’s look is something I wore last week. I like the simplicity of this classic outfit.
Sunday, after an AirBnb clean I went to a family party at my mums. It’s her birthday a a few days and she had all the family round for an afternoon party. There was 34 of use there. She’d arranged party food for Sainsbury’s. They do a big selection of occasions food which included sandwich platters, sausage rolls, tarts, filled rolls and chicken drumsticks. She’d also bought presents for all the great grandchildren. They loved receiving all the little gifts she’d wrapped and arranged like a lucky dip. There was also a selection of cakes ice creams and fruit. As usual I ate too much so didn’t need any thing else that evening. I also need to return to the gym as my foot is more or less better.
Let me tell you a little bit about what I wore the other day.

I started with some cropped trousers which were from Vinted but originally came from Zara. They are wide legs and finish just on the ankle so will be lovely with boots, flats and heels. I find this trouser version really flattering. They skim over my widest part - which is my bottom and top of my leg. I’m a pear shape so this is a good style for me.

I found the polka dot knitted top in Tu at Sainsburys. I love the cream collar and the matching edging that surrounds the black spotted cardigan. I only did up two buttons. I love how doing this cinches in the waist to create a feminine shape.

I wanted to brighten the whole look up so picked my red bag. It lifts it without changing the whole feel. It’s a good way to inject colour into an outfit. You could also add a scarf, shoes or earrings too! See a similar red bag here.
Thanks to all of you for dropping by.
Good to have you here.
Bye for now. X
