Black & White Polka Dot Top - Chic & Stylish Linkup.

Good morning my friends. 

As I write today’s post I’m on the train to London to attend an event! I’m hoping to meet up with a few fellow Instagrams, which is one of the best things about social media. Meeting lovely like minded people. 

It was a fun event at The Coral Room for Laura Geller. They’ve been promoting their new shop on TikTok along with being featured in Boots stores too. I met up with a couple of blogging and instagraming friends and got to meet some new friends in real life. I admit to being a bit star struck and definitely had imposter syndrome going on!

Anyway back to today. As you can tell I didn’t get a chance to finish the blog post in time, so today has been a catch up day!  I’m sharing this outfit I wore to my daughter’s for Sunday lunch. I wanted something comfortable but stylish and also had to be cool. The polka dot top ticked all my boxes as did the trousers and flat shoes, I’d love you to let me know what you think. 

Now this was a top I bought in a Shein haul. If the weather had been cooler in Sicily or Salou I’d have taken it with me on either one of those trips away. It was way too hot for this lined halter top so stayed at home. However after seeing a friend on instagram wearing a black and white spotted top I suddenly remembered this one from Shein. 

This is a halter neck style that slips over the head and has a big bow tie detail that can be tie on the side like I’ve worn or left to hang for a very different look. The hem is more of a blouson style and sits on the waist without needing to be tucked in. It was quite freeing on the arms and I actually felt rather cool in it, so much so I took a little jacket with me just incase the weather turned too cold … I didn’t need it though!

These cool trousers are just such a great addition to my wardrobe. They’ve got easy to wear elasticated waist, belt loops for a sophisticated feel and pockets to keep the look natural and relaxed. I popped on my fall silver dolly shoes which keep the look grounded and just right for lunch with the family, after all as I was with grandkids I never know if I’d be crawling on the floor with them or bouncing on the trampoline! Here’s a closer look at my top. You can see the elegant pussy bow tie, is this something you’d wear? Do you like a statement necktie?
