Style not Age share our Summer to Autumn Outfits.

Morning all.
How's it going?

All fine with me.  My daughter is back from her honeymoon and until their house sale goes through they are living with me!  I'm not quite an empty-nester yet!

I have decided to opt out of my ballet classes for this term.  Helping with the Airbnb and doing the laundry for it along with trying to get blogging and Instagram photos and posts ready has proved to be a challenge.  Join that on to suffering from a low Vitamin B12 deficiency, which has made my feet painful, I've given myself the time off to ... well just to feel I'm in control of my life.  Have you ever had to decline from doing something you love for the sake of your well being?  I plan to go back next term and hopefully my feet will have settled down - I'm on medication for it, so will have to see how that goes.

I've also been having a clear out.  I'm such a hoarder with my clothes and some things in my wardrobe are yonks old!  I don't wear them and are either keeping them "because I'll get into them again, might put weight on, love the outfit, or it's sentimental to me" so i went through two drawers and one big cupboard filling two bags as i went - one for rubbish the other to donate to charity.  I do feel much better for it and am pleased with more space.  I promise myself I wont start filling them up again with clothes I buy on a whim - are you guilty of that?

So back to today's post.  It's the last Monday of the month which can only mean it's time for me and my three blogging friends to step into challenge mode for the Style not Age series.  Today it's Anna's turn and her choice of From Summer to Autumn has worked well for all of us.

Autumn can be a tricky season can't it. The weather never knows what it's doing from one day to the next. I’ve been known to change mid morning and once again in the evening to accommodate feeling hot and cold. However one item I’ve worn throughout the year since I bought them is my balloon trousers. I saw them in F&F and managed to find my size online so without hesitation I bought them. So often I umm and arrh over items I end up missing out, but not this time. The harem style trousers were mine. Have you tried them yet?

They’re a pull on style which is easy to wear as they’re elasticated and as they have an ankle tie can be suitable for all heights. They bag out over the top, hence the name … balloon. Mine have a good length of tie fabric and don’t drag. Another pair I’ve got has a longer piece and it ends up dragging on the floor. Worth checking that out my friends.  These also have pockets. We all know how popular pockets are!

The top is new from Tu Clothing. They’re the fashion side of Sainsbury’s and although I bought it to wear with my khaki green trousers (which I couldn’t find), I soon realised it would look just as good with this creamy pair.
There’s also a dress in this design which I’ve got my eye on, but honestly I don’t need any new dresses really!

With splashes of pink in the top, I reached for my little pink twist clasp bag from Elie Beaumont. It’s also got a strap so it can be worn on the shoulder or across the body. Do use my code JQ10 at checkout for discount.

These sandals have been a fab addition since finding them on Vinted. They’re a flip flop style with a cute little kitten heel. Just perfect for this look and just how I wanted it.

As it was Anna's choice shall we delve into her outfit. Based around a flowery jumpsuit paired with bright accessories, Anna definitely hasn’t forgotten about Summer yet! You can see more about her wonderful choice on Anna's Island Style

Let's see what Emma - Style Splash took a shining to animal print trousers with layers on the top. Never leave home without a cardigan for the next few months, you never know when you’ll need it.

Finally it's Hilda's option, which is a stunning cardigan to take her from Summer to Autumn. You can read all about how her outfit came about on her blog Over the Hilda.

So pleased you could stop by, I'd love you to join me on Thursday for the linkup.
Bye for today. X
