White Wide Leg Trousers With a Yellow Top.

Happy new week to you all.
Did you have a good weekend?

Mine went well with lots done. Friday was the first dancing in a few weeks. We started the foxtrot and I picked all the step up quite well. I’ll try to download the video so you can see how I did.

Saturday was a busy one. I took the car to be cleaned before returning home to mow the lawn. With perfect conditions the grass had grown long, however it was that straggly stuff that didn’t have much to it so I’d got it finished in no time. I then did an Airbnb clean and came home to address the strimming. I’d been putting this off for a while because I needed to roll new cord onto the spool. After three attempts (it kept unraveling at the last minute) David came to the rescue and did it for me (it took him a couple of go’s too) I did all the edges and marvelled at how neat and tidy it looked. I’d cleared and tidied a few bits in the garden so felt very pleased with my efforts.
David and I were in the new build chatting about the bathroom fittings and how the layout would be. We’ve more or less got that sorted so will be checking out bathrooms & showers in the next week. I’m starting to get very excited because the pipe work is nearly finished on the top and middle floor. David has been doing it, which I’m so impressed with. He really can turn his hand to anything. We’re getting a plumber to fit the boiler and connect the pipes up but it certainly saved us a bit of money. I’ve helped out where I can, pulling pipes and holding tools, so feel every little bit helps!

The girls came round in late afternoon to try on bridesmaid dresses, which was lovely. They’re all still undecided on a style but Sophie has the colour she wants which is a start! I need to get looking for mine, I’ve seen a couple of dresses online but need to find out where I can actually try some on. I’ll keep you posted my friends.

Read on to find out how the rest of my Saturday night and Sunday went, this was the outfit I wore.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I knew I wanted to wear these white trousers after I bought them on my trip to Westwood Cross on Tuesday. I hardly ever shop in River Island but while passing the other day I popped in. I know fashions are repeated but it seems no sooner than something goes out of fashion it’s back in again, maybe that’s because I’m getting older! So lots of items I look at I’ve got something similar so am reluctant to purchase something new that might have a slight difference, anyone else like me? Anyhow, I checked out a rail of trousers and found these wide leg beauties in white reduced to £29! I’d wanted some for a while since the pair I have are too small for me! (I’ve just sold them on Vinted so out the money towards this new pair).

I had to take my stunning bag from Teddy Blake with me so found this little cami top which matched the canary yellow brilliantly. This was in my holiday drawer (anyone else keep items separate for different outings) & it was perfect for the balmy evening in a local restaurant for my best friend’s birthday.
White looks super with bright and vibrant colours so I’ve got lots of plans for my palazzo pants with all my different coloured tops and shoes. Watch out for the green shoes and top soon.

The earrings were part of my birthday gift from the kids. They’re really pretty flowers which are a yellow colour so look like a great match for my sunny outfit. I like a statement earring or necklace, and tend to wear one or the other but not both at the same time. You can find similar earrings on this website.
Just thought I’d mention my sunglasses. Smaller frames have made a big comeback recently, so when I saw them on the Goodlookers * site I thought I’d see how they looked. Rather like the sophisticated vibe they give, so my old ‘big’ frames will have to be stored now, just until they become fashionable again! 😉

Here’s my best friend whose birthday we were celebrating. We met in a little pub that sold ale beer along with spirits, wines and our favourite … prosecco! I shan’t tell you how many bottles we consumed but it was quite a lot. I certainly paid for it on Sunday as it was a very slow day indeed and I couldn’t wait for bed time. 🤭

Thanks for your continued support, do drop me a comment as I love to hear from you all.
Cheerio for now. X
