How are you?
Have you had a great week? Mine’s been busy and I’m longing for a bit of a break so I can switch off for a bit. I’m excited to say I’m away at the end of the month. I’m taking David to the Lake District for a long weekend for his birthday. We’ve always wanted to go, so it’s all booked with a super hotel and lots of exciting things to discover. Have you ever been? Do give me some tips for the place.
I know it’s more of a destination for walking holidays, and that’s not something that really appeals to us, so we’ll be heading to the local shops, pubs and restaurants along with seeing the stunning views - I’m even taking a little sketch pad with me! Not that I’m any sort or artist! I’ll share on Stories and a dedicated post next month.
This might be a top contender for my weekend suitcase. I bought this co-ord in Primark on Tuesday, might have to go back for the other colours too! 😉
Hands up who likes a co-ord? I love wearing an outfit that matches. I’ve got one that I plan to wear in the summer and a few I put on casually but this one from Primark has my name all over it!

So it’s a silky soft fabric, the type that won’t crease. Nothing better for me than a fabric that you don’t have to iron. It’s a khaki colour which looks great for summer. I fancy the other colours too. It’s also offered in black, cream and possibly a deep reddish-rust shade but I could only find trousers. I’ll have a look next time but feel the cream will be an excellent addition for summer months.
Wide leg styles are ALWAYS flattering and often become my ‘go to’ look. These have a comfy wide elastic waistband so you can pull them on and go. They also have side pockets - something I always look for nowadays.
The little top, which I’ve tucked in, looks a great shape. It quite boxy and would work nicely hanging over the top , but for me tucked in looks much better - it’s making the whole outfit look much classier, even looks like it could be a jumpsuit but without the hindering effect for bathroom duties!!
The co-ord is in the stores now and how impressive is the £10 each item price tag! Definitely worth getting other colours eh?
The length is good for me too. I wore chunky trainers. The bright pink and gold version were kindly gifted from Embassy shoes - head back to read all about them.
This will also look striking with flat sliders and heeled shoes for two completely different looks. What would you team with this co-ord?
Finally I picked my gold crossbody bag as it matched not only my jewellery but my footwear too. How would you wear this outfit? You can still use my personal discount code for 10% off at checkout. Pop JQ10 in the coupon box. 👏👏 My gold bag has proven very popular so has sold out. Head over to view this one that’s very similar.
Apart from the pockets, which we all love, I just wanted to talk about the short sleeves which are SO stylish to wear. They cover a multitude of sins and keep everything in place, only arms! Lol
