Hope you’ve had a super week.
Seems I’m coming down with a cough and cold! There’s been a lot about recently so it was always going to happen! It’s not too bad but more annoying really.
I’ve had a good few days, still busy but all okay. I took my young grandson EKarting on Tuesday. It’s what he wanted for a birthday present and wanted me to take him. It was so nice having one-to-one time with him and we had a nice laugh. He throughly enjoyed the karting and was very talented. He came first which he was thrilled about. I watched from the side lines, slightly tempted to have a go myself but didn’t in the end. From the Karting track we headed over to McDonald’s for a burger before heading home. I love my little outings and can’t wait for the next one with my granddaughter. You might remember her’s is the day after mine which is next month.
Yesterday, after my two gym classes, and a quick visit to my mums, I returned home to the front room carpet being cleaned. I hope it stays nice for the foreseeable, but I fear previous stains often make a re-appearance, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that. I cooked a lovely Italian lamb dish for our dinner last night, it’s slow cooked in white wine, carrots, celery and onion, with stock and some fresh tomatoes. I served it with new potatoes, runner beans and asparagus, it was really very tasty and went down a storm with hubby, do let me know if you’d like the recipe!
Today’s outfit is going to be one of those all-round winners. The co-ord is such a striking shade of blue it’s perfect for Spring and Summer!
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Are you a fan of the co-ord, or would you call it a two piece? I’ve been a big wearer of this sort of thing and reckon there’s a place in everyone’s wardrobe for one! Whether it’s a shortie set, mid length culottes set or wide leg trouser set like mine, they are a perfect addition for any occasion. The fact that you can separate them to wear on their own adds another level, giving you versatility and an ultra low cost-per-wear, it’s definitely a no-brainer purchase!
This one caught my eye at the Damart event in London last month. To be honest it caught many of the attendees eyes! So will be seen quite a lot on social media platforms.
I’m often drawn to wearing blue and this bright and bold abstract two piece is a real eye catcher. It’s got a zip fly and side pockets and the length is a standard fit. The shirt top has front buttons and contrasting cuffs which as I mentioned earlier match the hem of the trousers and shirt hem. See more about this stunning set * on the Damart website with prices starting from £40. The fabric is a cooling climatyl material which has a soft and silky feel to it. You can find the matching border print shirt here for a favourable £35!
Here I picked a plain white tee shirt underneath, but omit that and just do a couple of buttons up in the essential places for a cool holiday feel. I pulled the sleeves up as well, that’s a very popular look this season and you can add these sleeve armbands to achieve this look without fear of them falling down!
I picked my silver ballet flats here, but flat sliders would also look great for your holiday. It’ll be just right for evening wear when the temps might be a bit cooler, oh I can’t wait for that kind of weather, can you?
Finally I incorporated my white bag (similar). It’s a nice big clutch style that fits loads in and works nicely for an evening stroll to the pub! It’s also got a cute little chain for slipping over your shoulder. I like the cutout design that all over it.
