Chunky Sandals from Lotus Shoes.

Wow wee! That was a busy weekend, so much so I didn’t manage to get blogging until tonight!

Nothing to report on Friday as there was no dancing but Saturday was a busy, busy day.  I started off in the garden, cutting the grass, trimming the hedge and collecting the spoil ending with a bit of weeding! I was completely shattered and don’t actually no how I managed to get out on the evening. I went with my girls to celebrate my best friend’s 60th celebrations (I was at her party last week).  She’d arranged a bingo night at a local venue and 20 of us had a fantastic night enjoying games of music bingo with drinks and some piccy food. The premise of the game is to mark off each tune when it’s played and anyone who gets one line, two lines or a full house wins a prize! They also had a game which you paid £2 for a chance to play black or red! I didn’t get called out for that one, nor did I win any of the games but my sister-in-law did which was fabulous! Plenty of drinks flowed and in-between the games there was lots of dancing. You can imagine I was up and dancing as soon as I could! 😂

I wore an outfit you’ve seen on here before.  So today I wanted to share these new sandals with you.

We all like a comfortable and stylish pair of sandals don’t we. When I saw these on the Lotus Shoes website I knew they’d not only look the part but would cause me no end of happiness and delight as I knew they’d be easy to wear and look super comfy on too. 

Chunky soles have long been a firm favourite among all the celebrities, fashion gurus, mums, nans and all the fashionable crew. So it’s no surprise I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and have enjoyed wearing styles like these for a few years already. They’re not about to leave the fashion trends any time soon, so I’d guarantee blagging a pair now to enjoy for the forthcoming months, or even years!

Let me share all the good points about  Xena * ,which are priced at a very reasonable £55. The leather upper sandals have a sturdy covering and bold buckle, which holds your feet nicely in place giving them support with a comfy ease of movement. I love the stylish sole that’s a contrasting black and feel confident walking on any terrain with ease. They’re also available in black which will work perfectly right into the next season. 

My outfit started off with blue culottes. I adore wearing anything wide leg, be it jeans, trousers or cropped styles like these. They are comfortable and easy to wear and the elasticated waist is honestly a godsend. I added a plain white tee shirt and my faithful old denim jacket that, to be honest, hasn’t had much action this year but I plan to address that as soon as the weather gets a bit cooler! Who else is way too hot for a jacket?
