Styling my Salamander shirt with Jeans - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there my friends.
How's you week been?

I'm actually out in London today.  I'm visiting The Shard for lunch with my sister, so do look out for a post about it soon.  I've wanted to go there for ages, and I hope the views are worth it!  My friend told me when her friend went the weather was foggy so she couldn't see anything! Lol
That would be bad luck wouldn't it!

I'm hoping we can have a look in a couple of shops whilst we are out, and am looking forward to having fun with her whilst looking at the latest fashions.  Will try popping something on stories for you to see what we get up to! X

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Well hasn't the weather changed!  It's been so chilly here, I'm nearly tempted to put the heating on, but at these prices I'll put an extra jumper on .. ha ha!  Seriously though how are people expected to get through life with prices rising all around us, it's crazy times we're living in isn't it?

So I'm going with layers, you can read all about my recent outfit last week when the ladies from Style not Age took to their blogs and styled Luxe Layers.

I was kindly gifted this shirt from Salamander Shirts a while back but it's been way to hot to wear anything other than a thin dress or cool T shirt, so now the weather has turned chilly I too have turned to warmer dressing, picking jeans to wear with various tops and jackets.

Salamander have a huge choice of stylish shirts ranging from classic long sleeve stripes to abstract novelty designs and some interesting favourites like floral pattered and animal prints.  I was stuck for choice and quite honestly wanted nearly all of them.  I settled on this striking floral that I knew would go very well with dark jeans.  I wasn't wrong was I?  Just look how the colours compliment each other and as the weather wasn't too bad I donned my delicious ankle tie espadrilles.  I'm smitten with the whole look and can't wait to wear it again soon.

My Grenouille shirt is cream and blue and is a popular Country Rose design.*  The shaped fit is really flattering and feels super on.  You can't see in the photos but the inside the cuff is a plain blue which is a fancy addition and nice contrast in case I want to turn the cuff back.
I tucked it into the jeans and topped it off with my navy blazer.  It's a 'go to' outfit that I'm so pleased with, in turned out exactly how I imagined it would.

I turned the jeans up!  Look good don't they!  If I want to wear them with boots or trainers I would un-roll them so they can sit on my boots or shoes.  I'd also team them with trainers for a proper street look, especially if I change the jacket for a faux leather moto version.

  8. Fabulous shirt Jacqui! Now the weather has got cooler I'll be wearing my Salamander shirts again, they really are lovely. I hope you had clear weather for your trip to the Shard. Many years ago I went on the London Eye on a very rainy January afternoon and saw hardly anything!

  9. This is a really nice outfit: I love how you cuffed the jeans and love your espadrilles. It has gotten cold in the mornings here too so we add a jumper or cardigan or burrow under the blankets!
