Morning my lovely friends.
How are you all?
Have you ventured out into any pubs or restaurants yet? I haven't. I've been shopping in our local town, early in the morning to miss the crowds and not at the weekend - there's way too many people about and if I don't need to be there I'm better off avoiding it.
Saturday evening we got together with two other couples and had a lovely 'socially distanced' evening with them. Enjoying home cooked pizza, nibbles and a few beverages it almost felt 'normal'. Nice to spend an evening with friends and we worked out that we'd not been together since the end of February, we're hoping to do the same in a few weeks time - have you manged to see friends-at-a-distance too?
David and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary yesterday, we were at home with the family and didn't venture to our usual anniversary venue. Reads is my FAVOURITE restaurant, and you can read about my evening there last year here when I wore a dress that I'd worn ten years earlier! Just reading the post makes me want to go dine there even more, I'm longing for the day when it will be safe to visit. I can't wait for this silly virus to 'jog on and do one'. We had a roast dinner in the garden on my new garden furniture, I've been wanting some rattan furniture for ages and am finally proud to say I own a super corner sofa set and a table and chairs for 8 people - it's the little things in life that make me happy! 😁
Last Thursday you may have seen me wearing these gorgeous sandals from Hotter Shoes. I mentioned I'd share all the details about these heavenly wedges, so here's everything you need to know to bag your own - they're like walking on cushions of air! ☁️
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Tango red! Now isn't that a fabulous name for a colour! Aren't they striking - wedges & espadrilles are just about the best holiday sandal you can get!
These Fiji Wedges* have a soft cushioned footbed & as soon as I slipped them on I felt right at home in them, they are the perfect holiday shoe. I can see me strolling around little boutique shops and trendy bars on warm summer nights (yes I'm dreaming of distant holidays again).
Size options are available in 3 - 9 with half sizes from 4 1/2 to 7 1/2 - I wear a 6 1/2 and these fit me perfectly re-enforcing the fact that they are a brilliant buy for the £59 price tag. They come in two other colours - always useful black & dark tan which is just right for summery days of shorts and transitional outfits.
Fiji is a standard fit and incorporate very soft suede uppers that have a 'v' notch cutout to give just that little bit of extra room, they have a supportive strap which has hidden stretch and a striking circular buckle for fastening with ease. All adding up to a very enjoyable piece of footwear.
So pleased you could join me today - hope you'll stop by the Hotter site and pick your own comfy style and use the discount code JACQUI20 for an extra discount.
Catch another pair I'm obsessed with here.
