How you doing?
Our windy weather has made way for rain - it's been a very grey here with only a glimpse of sunshine today! I've been in charge of the grand-kids over the past couple of days as Mummy & Daddy have been busy building their new home. It's been such a fun time and I know I'll look back on our times together with love and affection once the house is finished and lock-down is over. I wonder what they will remember when they are older? 🤔 My princess is back at school & my prince is at pre-school, one loves it the other doesn't - they are like chalk and cheese. I definitely think getting kids back to normality and school is better for their mind-set & don't we all need a bit of normality!
My new dresses from Next have arrived - although I've not had a chance to try them on yet! I like to set aside a little time so I can try on, mix with shoes, jewellery and jackets, you know work out a few looks for the future, I can't wait for that to happen.
What have you been wearing lately? Still wearing your comfy casuals or are you dressing to impress - even if it's only the cashier - lol. I trying not to wear my denim too much & my newly acquired culottes from Bonmarche are doing a good job. I'm smitten with these wide leg crops having grabbed them plenty of times lately as they are so comfortable. In fact I'm wearing them now!
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Now about these trousers - crops - culottes* whatever you want to call them they've really impressed me. I've worn them casually or dressed up and they always look fabulous. There's plenty of colours to team with this black and white animal version - but the red really pops really well don't you think! I can see these working really hard in my wardrobe, so I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of them in the next couple of months.
You can find out more about the red Fiji wedges from Hotter on the blog next week. I can't begin to tell you how happy they make my feet, so do stop by on Monday for all the gen.
My little red top is a god-send. I bring it out every summer and it always looks fab! It has little spaghetti straps that cross over at the back - it also has a tie at the back which I either have hanging or in a bow. I topped it off with my off-white blazer. Mine is years old and is from one of my favourite shopping haunts - H & M, I need to get in there for a nosy - how about you?
Looking at the next photo I realise just how much my hair needs a trim! My daughter had coloured if for me twice - so that's why it's a little darker than normal. I have been trimming my fringe though, but am in need of thinning scissors, although having my stylish open now and a booking next week I probably wont bother to get any. I'll need quite a big trim as it's grown so much and isn't in the best condition. That's sure to be an experience, but I've seen lots of stories and posts about you bloggers having already visited the salon so it will be worthwhile in the end.
Can you see the culottes have a half elastic waist which is similar to the Sara jeans I wore a few weeks ago, this is very much appreciated since lock-down I can tell you - ha ha ha!
