Delivery Girl Outfit - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my friends and Belated Happy Easter wishes to you all.
Did you have some kind of normal Easter celebration or not bother?
We had a small gathering obviously only with the kids and grand-kids who are living with me, really missed not having my daughter and her husband & my son, his fiance and my grandson along with my mum with us.  We want to have a big family celebration when this is all over - we'll appreciate every single second spent with friends and family then won't we!

When this nightmare is FINALLY over what (if anything) will you keep doing?
I've started running again, and after a break of nearly four years I was pleasantly surprised at how much better I was.  My breathing technique has improved and I've put that down to the spin classes I do twice a week - it really has made a difference.  So I've been out five times just for short 20 minute spurts, but I feel amazing once finished as well as feeling very proud of myself!  So that my friends will continue.
I've been doing more shopping in my local shops since lock-down and have enjoyed buying from local butchers, green grocers and smaller stores. I've hated queueing round the car-parks so have used the less busy shop with shorter queues.  I must say the meat has been exceptional - so have decided to carry on buying from the smaller independent sellers when this is over.  I've paid a little over what I'd usually pay, but I'm sure it's better value and probably better quality too!
Do share what you'll continue to do - I love to hear from you.
Today instead of sharing a stylish dress I thought I'd share something you'd find me wearing most of the time.  I'm either in jeans and tee shirt or something like this,  easy-to-wear comfy trousers and no-crease top!

Brilliant sunshine but still very chilly weather calls for layers.  I picked a grey velour short sleeve top  combined with this cute little jean shirt.  I love the press stud buttons and that it is fitted to give more of a feminine feel.  Another womanly vibe has to be florals. Mine are from T K Maxx a few years ago, but with no shopping for the time being I've been making my wardrobe work harder!
These trousers are light-weigh jersey and hang beautifully.  I've worn them on a number of occasions already, you can see here when I paired them with a pale blue jumper with delightful cuffs and also with this versatile black top.

I wore this the other day to drop some essentials to my daughter - at least I get to see her when I do.  We are both very tactile people and it's driving me mad that I can't give her a cuddle or kiss.  We have to make do with a quick chat and an air kiss. 😘😘

I've been wearing flats pretty much all the time since lock-down started.  These shiny cream trainers look fabulous with my fancy pants and make my feet very happy when I wear them, they're also great for a little jog home too.

Favourite from last week is  Mireille - Chez Mireille has shown how versatile her green skirt can be.  It looks a real treat on and is complimented by all her jackets beautifully - I really am loving it with her white jean jacket.

  2. Same. Our family will be having a celebration after this.I miss the contact we normally take for granted! And a memorial for my dear mother in law who sadly passed away alone a few days ago. We don't know about funeral arrangements as of yet. Meanwhile we are trying to keep ourselves occupied in the house sorting stuff out. I'm dressing casual too Jacqui xx

  3. They are such fun pants! It's nice you can still get out even if it's only for a short while! I try do all my food shopping in one place to minimise how many people I come into contact with, but we don't have the car park lines yet. I get there soon after they finish the "special hour" for the older, disabled, or healthcare workers to shop, and there usually isn't much of a line. I'm just waiting for them to bring back delivery so I don't need to leave the house at all!

    Thanks for the link up!

Hope that you are having a good week :)

    1. Thank you Mica, I'm not in the shops like normal and hate having to queue! Wan't too bad yesterday and we have enough until next week - hopefully! Deliveries are hard to get, I had to get up and 12.00 to book for three weeks time! I do hope this doesn't last for too long. Stay safe and sane too! xx

  7. Such a cute errand running outfit. We celebrated Easter in all the same ways as before except we watched church on line instead of being there in person.

  8. Thanks for the feature, Jacqui! I am glad you still get to see your daughter even if with no hugs. My parents stopped by yesterday and we kept our distances but it was nice to talk for a while in person. I love your trainers, I have been wearing mine a lot as well as my denim jackts. Usually it gets really hot really fast here so this cooler spring is nice.

  12. Hi Jacqui!
My sis and I have talked about how we will have next Easter. Congrats on your running! Boy, I miss spin classes, I used to go 3 days a week before my EDS, now its not recommended. We have beens supporting local businesses and will continue to do so. It is a treat to get out of the house just to pick up groceries, we order online and they put it all in the trunk with no contact. Sweet outfit! Love the pants and those cute sneakers!

  17. I've noticed so many more people out running than usual—that's great that you are one of them! I've been jumping on a mini trampoline every morning and find it to be a fun, almost childlike way to start the day :)

  20. I love your casual outfit - it looks comfy but great for "going out" in. The print bottoms are beautiful and I know I need a velvety or velour T-shirt. I play at running from time to time but my knees are intact and I worry about the impact (at least this is how I justify it) so I tend to do treadmill or speedwalking more. I did take the dogs speedwalking yesterday with mixed results. It was a very short walk and ended up with one pulling back toward the house and the other wanting to cross the street to see a horse up close (they don't get out much since we have a couple of acres for them to run around). I think I'm going to try doing this every weekend though - even after the restrictions have been lifted. Thank you so much for another linkup. I'll join it when I've got my next post up and running - hopefully tomorrow.

  21. I love those trousers Jacqui, the print is fab! Well done on the running! I haven't had a gym membership since we relocated almost seven years ago - I bought a treadmill and weights for the garage conversion so the lockdown hasn't had any impact on my workouts. I prefer to run on the treadmill for now because some of the pavements are very narrow where I live making it impossible to pass someone else at a two metre distance. I defintely couldn't run with a mask on, I'd be gasping for breath!
