TK Maxx Floral Trousers with Feminine Frills & Ivory boots #chicandstylish #linkup

Morning lovelies, how are you all doing?
I'm starting to pack for the holiday now, I've been getting everything in order since the beginning of this week & buying the last few bits I need.  Going through my clothes I toyed with taking this with me, ending up omitting it.  Well I think it might be that bit too dressy for the apres-ski bars in Tignes, not that I've been there before, but all venues are more or less the same.  So it will be a couple of pairs of jeans along with a few pretty tops being packed.  Surprisingly the hotels, bars and restaurants all tend to be really warm, so I won't be taking loads of jumpers with me & alas this pretty fancy will have to remain at home!
Thought you might like to see it anyway …  what do you think?  It has to be one of my favourite casual, daytime looks.

How feminine is this pretty blue jumper - I adore the fluted sleeves and frilly stand up collar.
I struck lucky with this one.  I bought it last Christmas for my daughter, with the sleeves being too long for her I intended to return it - that was until I tried it on and decided it would be better placed in my care and in my wardrobe! 😜  Bought from H & M (sorry not available now) and looks very chic with a pencil skirt too.

What about these trousers - you know when you put something on and I feels good from the off, well that's just what these did.  I saw them in T K Maxx just before Christmas and for £12 they fell into my bag,  I was actually wearing this jumper when I found them, so knew I'd got an outfit under my belt already.  There's still a whole wardrobe to challenge myself to find something else to pair it with.  Stay tuned lovelies.

The heavy drape just feels so comfortable.  With a side zip and small tie detail the trousers are a dream to wear.  I like that they are tapered to the ankle, but don't fit tight.  I did the usual bloggers half tuck and reckon it's a flattering, stylish look.  Keeping it elegant and chic with my ivory boots

Can you see it's got my favourites?  Yep the slanted pockets are such a welcomed addition, they're even more casual with them - I love digging my hands in my pockets either to keep something safe or warm them up! Although the decorative sleeves were long enough to keep my fingers warm as toast!

You've seen my ivory, block heeled boots before, but don't they make the perfect accessory with floral trousers?  I like my grey bag with this outfit, it just adds something different, I'm edging away from matchy-matchy accessories when I can.

See the blue jumper picks out the flowers beautifully - I plan to wear white, cream and black with them too.  But this fresh look makes me think of spring and the fact that it's not that long until better, longer days are upon us and the first spring flowers will be making an appearance.

Here's the side tie detail I was telling you about, there's more to it than just looking pretty, making this waist adjustable.

Do let me know what you think of my pretty look today - is it something you'd wear yourself?

  11. I'm so happy you kept that sweater. It's perfect with the pants and the frills are so precious. Print pants scare me...it's funny, I used to wear them and then stopped and now I'm to timid to go back to them. Crazy. Love this combo!!!
