Style Steal - Snakeskin with a side of Mustard!

Good morning, how's it going?
As we speak I'll be elegantly gliding down the blue runs of Tignes in the French Alpes, smoothly sliding into the mountain restaurants for a warming hot chocolate or vin chaud and practising my French for "where's the Apres Ski" ha ha!  I love skiing and can complete a red run without too much resting on my bum!  I hate leaving the slopes early and quite often look for a party member who's up for another jaunt down the slopes before stealing an hour's nap.  The evening meal is always eagerly awaited by everyone, ravenous after using so much energy on the mountain.  The wine goes down really well too! Look out for the post in the next few weeks.

It's the monthly Style Steal today, I missed out December's because it fell right in the middle of Christmas.  It's been hovering on my 'to do' list for a while, but have only just managed to get the photos done - thanks to Esther Ruby. X

My Style Steal this month is copying Fierce Fashion, It's less what Kim is wearing and more about her blog title ….
Snakeskin with a side of Mustard!
Do you ever find you look at something and in a split second forget you've seen it and conjure up an ingenious idea, this happened to me when scanning Kim's Fierce Fashion blog.  Whilst looking I came upon a brilliant title and when I looked again realised I had subconsciously copied the quote … so I have decided to copy part of her outfit, and all of her post name! How cheeky! 😜

Two years ago I paired this snakeskin jumpsuit with red, other than that I've only got as far as accessorising black pieces - so Kim's outfit came along at just the right time.  I'd got a few mustard bits already so paired this £7 Matalan roll neck under it.  With this extra layer the cross-over front fell lose, however when I don't wear anything underneath I have to use a little safety pin to keep my modesty. I knew I needed a belt as the suit is slightly big for me, I came across this stretchy black one which looked super cinching the waist in for a fitted look.

I picked the jumpsuit up in T K Maxx a couple of years ago, the heavy drape of the stretchy material is slinky and soft.  It's cool to the feel, but kept me warm too, especially rocking the roll neck beneath it.  Finding the price evades me, but it has to be around the £20 mark as that's the price range I tend to find in there.

Black ankle boots have solid block heels with a cute tassel on the side are also from T K Maxx - I always find plenty when I have a browse in there - I'm sure you're all the same.  The trousers bagged at the hem, a look I like.  Having also worn it with flat sandals when I holidayed in Rhodes,  so you can see it's suitable for both hot & cold weather - proving it's a year round asset indeed!

Clutch and glasses the final touches to my casual dress - from Ralph Lauren & Forever 21.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Esther Ruby took photos for me - thanks. X

  4. So great that this can be worn all year round. The mustard backdrop really makes the snakeskin print pop. Hugs, x.
