Loving these Lotus knee length boots.

Hi there 👋 how's January going?
Settling in nicely to the slower pace now, but hating the dark and dreary days!  One o'clock felt like 5 today it was so dull - what's the best thing to do when the weather is horrible?  Book a holiday - more importantly a skiing holiday.  So yours truly is off to Tignes in the French Alps in two weeks times!  The sad thing is there's only 5 going this year quite different from the 25 a few years ago!  Fortunately we did manage to get a great last minute deal so every cloud has a silver lining.

Dressing for cold damp days calls for a nice pair of long boots, so these from Lotus shoes were a welcomed addition a few weeks ago.  They look fabulous with black tights & my short tunic dress, but look even better with the pleated skirt & chunky jumper I wore yesterday.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I've wanted some knee high boots for years, so when I saw these Janessa Leather boots* on the website I really wanted to try them.  I have wide calves so struggle to find boots to fit.  I ordered them in a seven, which fitted pretty well with thick ankle socks.  I have to admit they zipped up to a very snug fit, but felt okay.  Having worn them a few times already they're shaping up very well.

The mock side buckle adds striking detail to the boot as does the 5.5cm block heel which is very sturdy making them substantial walking boots.

The discreet elasticated panel got a big approval from me too, giving just that teeny tiny bit of extra room, & I know the leather will give too.  I've just found the perfect boot I think!  Available in brown and in the sale for half price - just under £50 how convenient for you!

Worn with my H & M pleated skirt, chucky cable knit jumper that's been around for yonks and a borrowed furry gilet.  Feeling warm and cosy even wearing a skirt on the chilly day I took the photos.

Talking of photos can you recommend a blog or site that gives a step-by-step guide of how to take blog fashion photos.  I've been on a course (okay it was only four hours) and watched YouTube videos, but am still finding it hard to take my pictures.  I'm waiting with bated breath for any offerings. 🙏

Glad to see you here today, please do stop by again I love having you here.
Bye for now. X

  3. I love the boots with the pleated skirt! Gorgeous faux fur gilet too. January is a dull and miserable month isn't it? Having a holiday to look forward to definitely makes it more bearable though!
