What to wear with Tan Sliders

Hello dear friends and thanks for joining me today.
How’s your weekend been?

A busy one for me and it seems I shut my eyes on Friday evening and opened them again last night and seemed like I blinked! The weekend just flew past and the reason being I was out both Saturday and Sunday so don’t feel like I’ve had a proper weekend!

So on Saturday David and I went with his brother, sister and their partners to a friends Summer party. We had a good old dance to the singer who was there and had bbq’d food and lots of drinks.  We ended up catching the bus, yes the bus into town to meet up with my son and son-in-laws who had been out for a boys day out go-karting and having a few drinks. It wasn’t a late night for me, but I did suffer the next day after broken sleep and a big headache! No more drinking for me …. Until the next time ..lol!

On Sunday I went with the family to my sisters for a bite to eat and a few drinks. No I didn’t have anything alcoholic and opted to drive. I felt shattered all day and couldn’t wait to get into bed last night. It was lovely to see the family and extended family at my sister’s house as it’s been a while since we did it. I picked this outfit which was based around some new sandals, so let me know what you think of it!

What I wanted to wear to the Beach

Hello my friends, thanks for joining me today.
How's your weekend been?

Mine didn't quite go to plan.  I'd anticipated a very quiet weekend with nothing planned and nowhere to be.  Well I like to do 'spur of the moment' things, which was just as well because on Saturday I went to my daughters house.  They are having an extension built and David will be helping where he can, so Saturday he was getting a few things sorted ready for the foundations being dug this week.  I went along to see my little Max and help where I could.  David has got a real job on his hands because we've also started our new build in our garden too!
Saturday evening we David, me and our youngest daughter met up with our son and his family to have chips on the beach.   This was last minute as well but often they are the best times aren't they?  We have a local beach only 5 mins away.  We are so lucky but I don't go there very often but wished I did.
After finishing the chips we were lucky to spot Lickett and Smyle ice cream which is on a bike,  yesterday I was in the mood for one, so had a very tasty honeycomb flavour on a waffle cone (I almost think the cone is the best bit).
Anyway after chips and soft ice cream we needed a drink, so headed up to the local pub for a couple of cold and refreshing glasses of prosecco.  It was good to be with my son and his family.  The two children and their dog were really good enjoying the attention of the other pub dwellers.

On Sunday we also didn't have anything arranged  We decided on having a BBQ and invited the family.  My daughters came so there were a few of us to get the food ready.  Having shopped in the morning for the goodies we prepared a fabulous feast which included burgers, sausages, chicken, pork bites and a very tasty thick cut rib eye steak.  We sat in the sun devouring the delicious offerings and had a fun afternoon with the kids in the garden.  I do hope this weather lasts a lot longer, but I have noticed the morning dew and nights drawing in - I hate when that happens.  It feels like we haven't had much of a Summer and Autumn is on the horizon!!!

I'd thought I might wear this combination to the beach on Saturday, but when I really thought about it I changed my mind and wore my tropical print jumpsuit.  Thought you might like to see the white culottes and sunflower top anyway. X

White Culottes for Autumn - #Chiandstylish #LINKUP

Hiya ... 👋👋
How you all doing?
I feel a change is coming in the Mummab household, my grand-kids are back to school and pre-school today and fear it wont be long until my daughter & family are reaping the benefits of family help and settling into their new home.  I won't lie I'm not looking forward to it & will be sad to see my 'big girl' move out for the second time! Saving grace they are literally 5 mins down the road, I'll be getting pay-back for all the time they've spent at mine - lol!

Last month I showed you an impressive pair of white cropped culottes.  Thinking they'd be suitable for wearing in the new season I set about styling them for when the temperatures drop, fortunately the weather was agreeable - so the jumper and boots were a welcomed addition when we took these photos!
Layering is key when weather is so changeable, little tee shirts under a blouse with a jacket or cardigan over the top caters for all temperatures.  I didn't need a cami under this, but come chilly days a nude shade will work a treat.  I've also got in mind a couple of jackets that will keep me warm too!  Monday's aztec number will be a cute little option.
