Good Morning my friends. 

How are you?

I'm getting back into the swing of things now.  The house is sort of back to normal, but there is a gaping hole where Emily, Dan, Max and Violet once were, but I've seen them nearly everyday and we're off to their house for dinner tonight, so things aren't that bad! David and I went to our other daughter's for dinner in the week and I still have two at home, so it's still a very busy and very much a fun-anything-can-happen household. 

I've been taking photos again in my dressing room and have moved things around so I've got a bit more space which is good - you'll have to let me know what you think of my latest photos, because these were taken in there on Tuesday.   

Now it's all about my new coat today.  I spotted a friend on Instagram styling a similar version and loved the whole look so set about re-creating it.  It's not a total copy but basically very similar - with my twist on it.  Here's a link to my friends look, let me know if you think I've succeeded please. How’s are you?

Another busy week for me resulting in no blog post or linkup on Thursday, apologies for that. I think we must all have that problem at this time of the year, something has to give doesn’t it! Will try to get back to normal soon. 🤞

Have you been out on any Christmas ‘do’s’ yet? I’ve been out once with David when we had a meal with friends in a local restaurant. We went with four friends and you can find out all about my night further on!

I’m also out on Saturday to see a show in London and the following day out to a venue on the coast that’s got a tribute singer that I’m excited to see and we’ll have some drinks and a meal there too. Quite excited to dress up and get into the festive spirit. 

Today’s post features some elegant and fancy festive clothes that I’ll be putting to good use this next month or so and in the years to come as I always opt for classic styles rather than fashionable trends. Can you guess what I’ll be wearing next weekend? Answers at the bottom of this post!

What I wore to a Boom Battle Bar.

How’s the weekend been?

Another slow one for me, although I did go out with all the kids last night to a local venue called Boom Battle Bar.  It’s a local bar where you can go for a fun night out playing games like axe throwing, crazy golf, darts, beer pong and much more. There was a bar there and also a restaurant. We had a couple of drinks, but had eaten before going. 

As always I wanted to be a bit more dressed up but didn’t think a dress was suitable for axe throwing! 🤪 I thought these faux leather trousers would be the perfect choice and grabbed them with this Leo print jumper without any hesitation. They are both comfortable and relaxed but still look trendy and smart, just the look I was after.

How are you all doing?

Another busy week so far with my gym classes back to normal, shopping in town and a meet-up with a friend for a catch up.  This, mixed in with seeing the grand-kids and the usual chores it's been full on!  Doesn't everything take so much longer now-a-days or is it just me?  My local bank has closed down so a trip into town with countless road works, traffic lights & endless traffic made everything hard work.

On the plus side, whilst in town getting a battery for my watch, I did a bit of shopping and came home with a new pair of jeans and a fancy pair of suit trousers - if they look okay I might invest in the jacket as I've ALWAYS loved a trousers suit.  You can see the only one I've ever had here back in 2019

Re-visiting that post I'm surprised at how long my hair was and noticed I was wearing these Vionic snakeskin shoes I'm sharing in today's post featuring my new khaki green coat.
