Shein Midi Dress - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Morning all.
How’s your week been?

It’s been a lovely week so far. Well to be honest the week has actually gone fairly slowly! My weeks have flown by recently but it’s been really good to have a slower week with a chance to enjoy everything to the fullest!

Last weekend was fun. You might have read all about my afternoon out at Finbars on Friday along with the birthday celebration in Whitstable on Saturday here.   It was a very enjoyable few days, and I'm grateful for not only where I live, but who I have around me too.
I went back to my gym classes on Monday, enjoying a spin classes with some friends. The company has been taken over, so they are in the midst of getting a new app therefore it's been hard to get anything booked.  I've worked out the new system and have managed to book the cycle class but haven't managed to join Pilates yet.  I've been talking to a friend who pointed out the other classes are listed in a different section  - so now I've worked it out I've booked next weeks classes for Pilates. I’m pleased to have got that in place now, I hate not understanding things like that!

I’ve just started to think about taking photos again. The main reason I’ve been neglecting this part of blogging is because it’s been way too hot to get dressed up with hair styles and makeup applied! Recently I’ve been wearing no makeup and have had my hair scraped up into a pony tail,  so with cooler temps it’s been super to been a bit more normal, I’m also taking photos of another linen outfit today, watch out for that one!

Here’s what I put on today. This is a knitted midi dress from Shein. I bought it for Sicily but it ended up staying in my suitcase and didn’t get worn at all!

Hasn’t it been hot here! Temperatures have been in the high 30’s over the past few weeks and it’s almost becoming unbearable. But at the beginning of the week it dropped a few degrees so made it more bearable for getting dressed up - wearing make up & styling my hair.
This is a new dress I bought from Shein for the hen and my weekend in Sicily but as it was too hot it didn’t make the cut …. until yesterday!

I like the elegance of this knitted dress. It’s a favourite length for me and the fact that it’s tiny holes over it,  which make it suitable for summer weather when it’s not too hot!

Everything about this neutral dress screams stunning. It’s a style that could be styled up or down. Whether you’re wanting an outfit for a night out on the town with friends or a romantic dinner for two this one has you covered.
I popped a half slip underneath but you could omit that for a cover up for the beach. There’s also the possibility of adding a full slip - to keep everything covered up. How would you wear this one?

Two tone colour ways mean there’s a lot of scope of what to team with it. Neutrals would be a  first choice and my basket bag  seems the most natural choice. My bag is a couple of years old from M&S although they tend to re-work the same designs, after all if it works why bother to change it?

I was drawn to the zig zag designs, and although it’s slightly see through looks just as good with a slip under it with corresponding underwear. This is a fitted dress which has a v neck and no sleeves. It’s not got pockets but that doesn’t take any of the good qualities away from it!

I popped on new sliders from Dune. I feel this was kinda of a rushed purchase as they’re not over-comfortable. Do give your footwear a good examination as it’s not always easy to get the right style? Alas I’m stuck with these, so might call upon hubby to break them in!
What do you think about the bag though? It’s a style that comes out every season and this one is know different. It’ll be a favourable choice for the foreseeable future. Is this a style you’d wear
