Just one piece - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Morning my friends.
Welcome to the first blog post of April!

I’m really excited for better weather and Spring outfits, it’s been hinting that warmer temps are on the horizon. I really want to be wearing lighter clothes but I’ve been so cold with biting winds and cooler conditions I’ve hardly embraced my Spring looks yet and I’m so annoyed about it!

I’ve tried to add Spring looks recently but have ended up turning to my warming sweatshirts and jumpers to keep me warm. Have you had this problem?

Todays look features a new knit from Vinted, it’s a comfortable little piece that’s going to get a lots of wear very soon I hope!

I want to share the fact that you might have plenty of separates hanging in your wardrobe but sometimes you just need that little extra piece to make the outfit work.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably got wardrobes and drawers full of clothes - many of which haven’t been worn for a while but are full of potential! Yes! I’m glad I’m not the only one. Yet given one small item can change a clothes that once put together with the new piece will look just about perfect. For me it’s a case of going through my rails to find what I’m missing. I didn’t even realise I needed this knitwear until it arrived. Once the weather warms up I still like to take a jacket with me, so having a short sleeve jumper in my midst means a fabulous outfit is just sitting waiting for me. This pretty top cam from Marks & Spencer but I found it on the Vinted website for an absolute bargain of £5. In my experience Vinted items do come up at a fraction of the original price and it’s been fun scrolling for them. Do you buy from Vinted?

So what did I team this pretty top with? At first I’d looked at my brown trousers. The first pair are thin and flimsy, so not really suitable, the brown Commense pair, that I also got from Vinted, would both look great paired with pink.

Now these jeans have been on the blog before - seems to be ages ago now though but they’ve been patiently waiting to be found again. I love the bright pink! I know it’s my favourite colour which is probably why I couldn’t part with them. They’re a good length for me and wearing them with ankle boots have given them a new lease of life! The ankle boots in question have also been around for years, I bought them in the online sale for about £20, not a bad price for suede boots eh!

This little box jacket
was the one I picked up in Primark when I went to London for the Damart event. It’s going to take the place of my old faithful jean jacket that I’ve had for years. This one is a different more fashionable style so will most probably carry me through the next few years it’s a boxy style and flatters my pear shape. Looks good with this don’t you think?

I added my latest bag from Elie Beaumont, it’s a small clutch style that’s got a nice long handle. I wore this across the body and I love the tonal blush pink * works well with the pink outfit. See the other Spring shades over on the Elie Beaumont website and don’t forget to use my code JQ10 for 10% off!

So take a look in your wardrobe and find out what’s missing. You might be lucky like me and find it on the Vinted website for £5!!!
