How’s your first week of the new year gone?
I’ve been loving getting back to normal. Back to the gym and dance classes for me and I’ve got a renewed enthusiasm for it. That’s what having a couple of weeks off does for me, does that work for you?
I popped to a couple of stores on Tuesday, I had to return something and ended up with a new bag! I have SO many bags and plan to have a cull to reduce some I don’t really use. Today’s outfit was what I wore yesterday, it features a new jacket and some boots along with that cute bag.
Let me tell you about this bag I HAD to have! I’d seen it in Matalan (Similar) a while ago before Christmas and it was in the sale. I stood firm and didn’t crumble and buy it but truthfully wished I had. It’s not leather but is a very fashionable style that’s going to be just right for popping to the shops, days out or for use on holiday. I’m away next week for a long weekend skiing so will be taking it with me for sure. Anyway back to Monday’s shopping trip. I browsed the store and found myself in the sale department where lo and behold I spotted it, I picked it up and studied it in the mirror. It looked good and quite expensive so when I found the price tag of £6 it didn’t leave my hand!

I’ve got a few thicker coats both long and short but nothing quite like this stunner. David picked this for me for Christmas and, as always, didn’t he do a wonderful job. He knows my style well but also has the help of my daughters who I usually drop lots of hints to! It’s a faux suede that’s got shearling on the bottom of the sleeve but what I didn’t know was that it’s reversible! How did I not realise especially when I saw there were buttons and hooks on the inside too! Anyway I’ll enjoy wearing this even more when I know I can change the look in an instance! Unfortunately this M&S jacket has sold out but this is very similar.
I popped on jeans yesterday. I’ve not worn these for a while and found they’ve become a tad tight! Just as well the diet’s back on eh! They’re wide leg style in a lighter wash & I’ve been thinking about getting a darker colour as I reckon they’ll be great for the coming months. I wore these because I wanted to show off my new boots, which were also a Christmas present. Although the heel is a bit higher than I usually wear for daytime, these are perfect and extremely comfy. I reckon I’ll be able to wear them for longer periods unlike some I’ve got!
The jacket is really warm but I popped a scarf on just to be sure I would be toasty. I felt this outfit called out for lively addition so I opted for this leopard print scarf, (Similar). I’d been watching some tutorials about how to tie them and found this quite flattering and a bit more fancy than just wrapping it around my neck!
I twisted the front piece that had been wound round and threaded one end of the scarf through. The other side of the fabric was threaded through the other edge, it’s an easy to do style that looks great.
