Style Not Age share their Joyful January outfits.

Good Morning.
How your week been?

Can you believe it’s the last week of January?
It doesn’t seem two minutes since the last Style not Age challenge was being shared and here we are promoting the first one of 2026.

Anna from Anna’s Island Style picked this topic and she’s given an easy option that will suit all of us which is just as well as sometimes the next year can prove a bit more challenging!  She’s given us the helpful and extensively open title of … Joyful January

January is usually thought of as a dowdy depressing month. Christmas is done and dusted with all the pretty decorations and presents stored away or put to good use (mostly). The weather is usually horrible with dark early evenings and cloudy days, sometimes with a drop of snow but more often wet and windy here in the UK. Although we have the odd bright and clear day, which hints that Spring is on its way! This year has been a bit different for me. You can read about my two fantastic joyful Christmas presents from David on my last post here and last night was spent doing another of my favourite things that make me feel joyful …. being with David and the family. ❤️

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Fashion makes me a joyful lady. I love nothing better than to get dressed up in whatever I choose and really go to town with it. Even if it’s just jeans and a jumper I make sure the boots or shoes work with it and match the bag along with belt, scarf and jewellery, I know most of you like to pull a whole outfit together and I commend you too. Whenever I see someone who’s done the same and it’s something I like I have to congratulate them too.

Comfort is my priority when getting an outfit sorted, so I start with one piece and work my way through adding the other components piece by piece. With today’s look I wanted to show what I would often wear to run errands or meet up with friends. If you’re comfortable you’re happy and joyous aren’t you! This faux leather skirt is the best length for winter when I can put boots on under for warmth. I grabbed the navy jumper because it tied everything together with the jacket and little collar.

The printed jacket is a padded fabric version which will be lovey for proper Spring weather, I can’t wait to pop it over my jeans. You can find all the details of the jacket on the Damart website * here.

Faux leather is a lovely fabric don’t you think? It’s looks very luxurious and lifts any outfit to the next level without the expense. My skirt from Izabel London * is still available for £50 as is offered in three other colours! I was kindly gifted this and you can read all about it here.

Now can we take a moment to appreciate what my three counterparts choose.

First let’s see how Anna tackled the challenge.  Like us all Anna has been a busy bee lately, with her birthday this week it's been hard to get this wonderful outfit photographed.  I'm so glad she did because it's a casual glam winner.  Her fluffy yeti jacket was from F&F (I saw them in there, but had already bought a brown one). Boots are from Catwalk and everything else is shopped from her wardrobe.

Emma from Style Splash opted for a very bright a joyous outfit based around her flamboyant jumper.  But quite honestly her bag takes pride of place and will make everyone smile when they see it!  See more of her outfit on Style Splash.

Now shall we take a look at what Hilda - Over the Hilda picked. Her casual outfit brings all kinds of happiness and as it's a laid back affair that's also from her closet oozes Hilda's unique fashion style. Find out all the details over on her blog.

Many thanks for being here for today’s blog post, do let us know your thoughts on this challenge.
Have a super weekend my friends,
Cheerio. X
