Phew! Didn't that rush by!
I hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
Like you I've had a busy few weeks, resulting in not getting the past three blog posts out! Things will calm down now a bit and I hope to get back on track. Anyway I hope you've had an amazing holiday period and a wonderful Christmas. The food in our house was plentiful as was the drink and company - so lovely to spend special time's with family and friends. How was yours and what did you get up to?
So welcome to my blog which is the last one of the year and is dedicated to my friends and I for the last Style not Age post too!
This has been set by Emma and her apt choice of Prints Charming suits us all nicely, well nearly all of us!
Items marked with an * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I have to admit I struggled with this prompt. What with not having much spare time and hardly any bright and bold printed outfits I really didn’t have much to consider suitable. I pulled out a pair of bold stripey trousers with plans to find a matching bold top, but unfortunately nothing came to hand. Then it occurred to me I love bold leopard prints and had recently shared an outfit on IG featuring a fabulous coat. Without further ado here's my midi length coat that always gains plenty of admiration when I don it!
I saw another Instagram'er wearing similar so set about looking for my own. I eventually found this one which was the perfect length on me in George at Asda. I can't recall the price but have been really pleased with my purchase. At first glance the Crombie style didn't have any pockets! I love a pocket especially on a coat and was quite put out, upon further inspection I realised they'd been sewn over and had to unpick them. I should have known, but for some reason I didn't! It's a soft fur and although not particularly thick it's still warm enough for most weather.
I chose to keep the colour palette similar - so wore my wide leg jeans * which were gifted to me from a company called High Street Outlet. As you can imagine they offer High Street clothing at discounted prices and these jeans (which come from M & S with the label cut out) were only £20 but with just the same quality you would expect from them.
A plain black fitted jumper, which I picked up in Primark, has been an invaluable
addition and pairs well with so many of my clothes since being purchased for under a tenner! It's s fitted skinny rib style so is very flattering. I also got burgundy and green and wished I'd got all the colours as they don't sell them now.
I popped on this chiffon scarf which compliments everything as it's a leopard print too. Then the boots and bag in black leather completed my look. It's an everyday style I like to wear and the coat over it makes it stand out for a bold and charming outfit.
Now it's my fellow bloggers to take to the stage, let's see how they faired on this challenge.
Emma went bold with her new two piece from the Iris Apfel which she managed to find on Vinted - well done Emma! You can find out all the background about her outfit on my page Style Splash.
Anna from Anna’s Island Style opted for shopping her closet for this bright red jacket and fancy brocade trousers in a Christmasy green. Very festival and very charming.
Head over to Hilda - Over the Hilda to see what she chose.
Thanks for coming over today. I’d like to thank you so very much for all your love and support over the past year and look forward to seeing you in 2026!
Have a Happy New Year my friends. X
