Khaki Shirt Dress - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Good morning my friends.
How are you?

Had a busy day yesterday! Two gym classes and home to get ready for an afternoon out with my mum. She’s been sorting her big birthday celebration so we visited the venue to get everything confirmed. I’m excited for the night out with my hubby, kids plus partners and my sister and her family - I’ll be sharing all the details nearer the time and you’ll be the first to know, I promise!
We had lunch out too and I enjoyed a warm goats cheese and fig salad followed by a big piece of Victoria sponge … oh I forgot to add a glass or two of Prosecco too! 🤭

I turned to my capsule wardrobe as the temperatures were cooler than it has been, and wore my khaki shirt dress from Primark.

I’m quite partial to this style of dress and always feel it’s a worthwhile addition to any wardrobe.  So whenever I’m faced with a shirt dress I’m always tempted to buy it.
When I saw this hanging in Primark I searched for my size, alas there wasn’t one!  Fast forward to my next shopping trip when, fortunately for me, I found my size in my local store.  It's good quality and looks much more expensive than the £20 it cost.  I know this is going to be a valuable asset to my dress collection, and reckon this could be dressed down or up for so many different outings.
I also bought a jumper, trousers and a satin skirt on that buying spree, do look out for all of them!

It’s a military style so I’m embracing my army side (not really I don’t have one) I just like the style. With patch pockets on the front, a matching tie belt, epaulette loops and it sits as a midi length which is mid calf on me.

I could have worn my trainers, but opted for some blush nude court shoes. They have a nice heel height and are comfortable to wear for a decent time, unlike some higher heels I’ve worn in the past, lower kitten heels are possibly the way forward for me - how about you?

I borrowed the bag from my daughter, you may recall I nearly bought this one but decided not to at the last minute.  I must have had a sixth sense as I found out my daughter had the exact same one! I'm sorted now as I can borrow it whenever I can, well she does with my stuff ... lol! These little padded bags are very much in fashion and have been for ages, have a peak at the two I’ve listed below in Shop My Look!
