Another Jumpsuit!

Hi there,
Well that was a busy few days!

Last Thursday I went to my nephews wedding and what a lovely day it was!  I ended up wearing this dress that I featured for the Style Not Age challenge.  You can see here that I changed the accessories and opted for white rather than the tonal greens.  Do let me know in the comments which one you preferred, although both were very striking.

On Friday after a slow start I went to visit the bride and groom at their house.  They put on another fantastic spread to celebrate their wedding and I enjoyed more delicious food followed by a small amount of fizz and a general chat about the previous day.  Everyone commented upon having a wonderful day and enjoying the whole event, asking could we all do it again please! Lol.

The weekend was spent in the garden on Saturday, working hard on cutting the grass (me), trimming the hedge (David) and tidying up (both of us).  If you've followed the blog you'll know I have a love hate, hate relationship with my garden.  It's the bane of my life come the Summer months and it keeps me busy every week getting things in shape.  Oh for the days of a small garden ... lol.  With that being said I do enjoy seeing it when it's done, it's quite satisfying and something I'm very proud of. We were thoroughly shattered by the end of the day and sat down to watch the football with a tasty Chinese takeaway meal.

So here's today's OOTD.  I wore this to enjoy the BBQ yesterday at my daughters house.  She's got a big kitchen/family room and enclosed garden which is perfect for the kids, and they've got all their gardens toys to play with too.  It's been a hot couple of days and I'm not really used to it!  I know I can hear you sun worshipers shouting at me, but I need a few weeks to get into hotter weather.  We've gone from jeans and jumpers to full on shorts and t-shirts.  The British weather certainly does keep us on our toes, just don't know what it's going to do next!

I've always been into jumpsuits so if there's one thing I can't resist it's one of these.  This one was a purchase from Vinted just before my weekend in Majorca for the Hen party.  I thought it would be a great addition to include in the packing and as it's quite a thin crease resistant fabric it rolled up very small and didn't take any room at all - I actually didn't need to wear it though, so yesterday was it's first outing.

More often than not buying from Vinted means getting a previous season garment at a cheaper price, current seasonal pieces can often be found for a snip of the price too, it makes me wonder if people can't be bothered to return an item or maybe they're just outside the return date.

This style of a culotte jumpsuit is perfect for warm weather and would be the ideal garment to include in a holiday suitcase.  Neutral colours means it'll not only work well with a nice tan, but pair nicely with nude sandals which, bye the way, will go with most holiday clothes too - no need to pack more choices.  It's a wide shoulder vest style that has a cross over detail that sits on an elastic waist.  But the nicest detail is what's on the back.  Read on to find out what it is.

The reverse has a pretty tie effect that is tied up across the bra strap.  It's also got a keyhole part creating a peek-a-boo look.  I love this bit of flair that can also been seen on garments with sleeves too.

I didn't actually need to take a bag but you know me, I love to complete the look.
This I did with my birthday present from my sister.  She picked a sweet little basket bag that had tan additions by way of a small pocket on the front and a pull leather strap to enclose the interior bag to keep everything safe and secure.  It's cute enough for lunches and holidays alike and for sure this beauty will be with me on my next trip away. X

Here's a closer look at the back of the jumpsuit.  Rather like the cooling effect it gave too.

I wore my flat cork sandals as they were the most comforting to my feet, they're still aching from all the dancing on Thursday and the work in the garden on Saturday.  Read all about mine from Moshulu here.

  1. I like the dress you wore to the wedding, but I liked it with the green bag and shoes.

  2. Oh, the back of that jumpsuit really is terrific! You would never guess it from the front! Such a fun, fun look! How is the house build coming along? I have to admit one of the things I miss quite a bit is cutting the grass! It was one of those times when I could think a million things and not have to worry about anything other than not hitting trees!
