Leopard with Mustard & Black.

Good morning my friends.
How are you all?

I've had a lovely weekend.  David and I went on a little shopping trip to our local outlet and came home with quite a few bits!  He found a few shirts and I bought four dresses!  Well there's 'talk' of us going on holiday, so we needed some new pieces to take away.  It was really nice to just get out shopping and actually find something I liked.

I adore Autumn for many reasons including watch Strictly Come Dancing on a Saturday night, sometimes prefer to do that rather than go out!  Must be getting old eh?  Talking of dancing, my evening lesson on Friday night was learning the Rumba.  I'm getting to grips with the harder moves and having the teacher or his wife to partner me makes it even better.  It's nice to have someone steady me when doing twists and turns.  I'm still trying to persuade hubby to join me, but as it's on a Friday night (pub night) I've got no chance!

So here's what I wore for my trip to the shops.

On Saturday morning, whilst scrolling through. I spotted a lovely lady wearing a similar look to my leopard and mustard ensemble, so I set about copying it.

I love looking through Instagram (do you follow my account) and get so much inspiration from all the other accounts that I see.  On Saturday morning, whilst scrolling through. I spotted a lovely lady wearing a similar look to my leopard and mustard ensemble, so I set about copying it.
I've always paired this leopard skirt with black or cream & beige but when I saw the addition of mustard I had to try it.  I simply adore how it looked!  Said 'grammer' also wore a black leather jacket, black boots and a black bag.

I'm a big admirer of pleated skirts and for years have always had one or two in my wardrobe.  I can't remember just how many I have at the moment, but this leopard print version has to be one of my favourites.  It has a nice stretchy elastic waistband which is a godsend.  It makes it so comfortable to wear.  I also love the length, it sits mid way between ankle and knee, this length is perfect when wearing long boots like my black slouch style.

You've seen my faux leather jacket plenty of times before.  I asked for it a few Christmas's ago and boy has it earned it's keep.  It's nice to slip on over so many outfits, I do hope you aren't bored of it!

I want to tell you about my boots, I bought them online from Monsoon following the purchase of my tan pair.  I have wide calves so struggle to find boots to fit.  I saw the tan pair in store and grabbed them - you can read about my purchase on that post too.  Because they were so comfortable I just had to have them in black too and eventually they became available.  The style of a slouch boot means they aren't fitted with a zip, so that gives you a little bit more room, which was just what I needed.  I've just checked online and the boots are still available - do check them out my friends.

  2. You look fabulous, Jacqui! I love the boots, although I tend to prefer a slightly tighter fit around my calves because I don't like it if they bunch down if you know what I mean?! I can totally understand why you want to buy them in several colours though. And how could we ever get sick of seeing that jacket?! It's FAB!

  3. I love that slouchy boots are back - I'll need to look out my pairs and hope that the pleather hasn't fallen apart as it often does here in the heat and humidity by next autumn and winter! :)

I really like the mustard and leopard combo too I can see why you wanted to recreate it - it's such and underrated combination I think! You wear it well :)

Hope your week is going well so far :) It's a rainy one here!
