Double Denim Anyone? - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there my friends.
Good morning all.
How are you coping with the on-going issues of the Coronavirus?  It really is like a living nightmare.
But I'm not going to add to your worries, instead I'm going to share another of my favoured outfits from my wardrobe.
You've seen this chambray dress before, probably on a couple of occasions.  It's a tad too large for me, but as it has a belt it can be cinched in at the waist for a more fitted look.
Today I've gone double denim by adding my cute jean jacket - it's rarely off my back come the summer months, and I really should be replacing it this year, but with the current situation I'll be keeping this one for the time being.
The shirt dress can be layered for cooler Spring days where a thin tee shirt and/or jumper can be added for warmth.
These photos were taken pre-lockdown so today I'm elegantly styling a lounge suit (pj's) negligee (dressing gown) and comfy mules (slippers) lol!

A shirt dress can be a really useful garment I've worn it over a dress and also leggings as a long jacket too.  It has short sleeves and buttons all the way for a front opening.  With slits up either side it's the perfect casual dress for sunny days, and shopping with the girls.
I matched in tan accessories, these slouch boots are my favourite at the moment, they are so comfortable to wear and pair with so much being neutral.  You know I love to add a scarf whenever I can, so this aztec design in shades of blue and white is the perfect choice.

I've had this bag for many years now - I bought it in Venice for the style, design and colour.  It's rather small really - so I can't get much in, therefore it only comes out when the outfit calls for it.

The dress is from Matalan years ago, with my faithful jacket from Peacocks - equally as old.  Do stop by on Monday when the Style not Age ladies will be styling denim again.  I have another fabulous outfit to share with you.  Stay safe my friends. XX
Time for the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP party.

Here's favourite blogger from last week.  Meet ...Gail - Is This Mutton. She's styling a real favourite of mine - a co-ords!  I love to wear them, but don't have nearly enough.  This green beauty is certainly making me the green eyed monster as I'd love to have my own.  Do stop by to read all the details.

  1. This makes me want to do my wardrobe changeover and get my denim dress out of the loft! I really like the scarf you added too Jacqui. Keep you and yours safe xx

  2. Very honoured to be highlighted, thank you! Great outfit Jacqui and looks so summery with that blue sky.

  3. I don't like jeans but I love denim jackets and dresses! Actually our next Good Buy theme is denim jackets! Love this look especially with the bag and boots!

  4. Jacqui, this double denim look is super cute! I have so many chambray dresses and denim jackets and I never thought to pair them together. But it is a match made in heaven! Well done! I feel so bad that you are in a nightmare! I have settled into quarantine life quite nicely (other than my kids making me bonkers). I don't mind the isolation so much. But I am definitely lacking motivation. I hope to turn that around by Monday. Hang in there, my friend. This will be over eventually.

  5. Your chambray dress is so chic! I love your layering! Thank you for the linkup!

  10. Hi Jacqui!
Love the background of your pictures. Yes, we are inside and I am trying to keep busy, the blog does help. Love the two different shades of denim with this look and the shirtdress looks lovely! Complimented nicely with your scarf.

  11. I like the jeans on jeans look -
We are taking one day at a time and making the most of it. Doing things around the house and talking to friends on the phone. Take care J.

  12. I have fun with double denim and I almost did a post on the same sort of outfit this week. Take care, Jacqui!

  13. What a great spring outfit. Looks so comfortable and classic. Hope you are staying safe and sane in this weird world

  15. I just love your denim-on-denim look, Jacqui! And the neutral boots and bag are perfect accessories. Take care and stay healthy.

    xx Darlene

  16. You can't go wrong with a chambray dress! You look fabulous!

  17. I love the two shades of denim with the neutral accessories! The bag definitely looks Italian! I'm just taking one day at a time, although Isobel is finding it hard not seeing her friends which I feel bad about - even though it's out of my control. It's a very strange time but we will get through it. Take care and stay safe!
