How are you? I'm currently enjoying my days on my skiing holiday, throwing myself down a snow covered mountain, stuffing my face with Italian pasta and prosecco along with enjoying some apres ski. I'll share with you next week if I took my new camera with me and if I got any great shots!
I'm at a turning point with my winter wear, and don't want to buy anymore bits until the new Spring season clothes arrive. I'm interested to see what will be top colours and styles for 2020 - I feel us bloggers pay a big part in pushing trends forward and have our own take with what's on offer - maybe dictate what's fashionable!
With that said, I'm not actually sharing anything new-in or cutting edge with you today - just an outfit style I'm happy to wear most days when I'm just popping out and about & are fed up with wearing jeans. Wide leg trousers have always been a favourite of mine and having already shared my black version with you last Thursday I might as well flaunt another pair in front of you! Ha ha!
You might have seen these on the blog previously as I've worn them a couple of times already, they're that funny colour rather Chameleon like, it depends on what they're styled with as to what colour they look - sometimes they are grey - otherwise they look mink. I've styled them both with grey before - firstly paired with pink, secondly worn with orange and a graphic Tee shirt.
I'm trying to add interest to my looks by adding different patterns, textures and sometimes colours into the mix - something I've picked up along my blogging journey - quite like wearing things this way now, and am always scrutinizing people that catch my eye - looking at what styles, tones and textures they've put together, have they worn both necklace and earrings, do the bag and shoes match, how have they maintained a theme. I love how bloggers match designs together, this one from Emma - Style Splash really stood out as did a similar version from Anna - Anna's Island Style. I'm excited to try and copy this bevy of animal prints.
But I'm digressing aren't I! Back to my wide leg winners, these are from the M & S outlet a couple of years ago. The fit is pretty much spot on, fitting on the waist and hips to leave the legs roomy and classic. I've had to wear heels which isn't a problem and I like to wear a pointed toe to elongate the leg even more.
The black turtle neck jumper is pretty basic, but that's what I was looking for. It's long sleeves and sits on the waist for a regular not-fitted feel. I didn't even go the traditional 'half tuck' as It looked just right where it sat. How about the splash of bling? My Eternal Collection sparkly necklace sits perfectly on the neckline, more like an attachment than a necklace which I love - it's just the right length & really brightens up the dark sweater. I haven't worn this red jacket an awful lot recently, it got pushed to the back of my coat hooks, so spotting it patiently waiting made me happy to brighten up the look (especially on the dreary day we took photos).
Grey bag completed my outfit along with these sassy leopard print courts, they have a cute little kitten heel good for day to day wear. Both are previous season from Fiorelli (really similar) (TK Maxx) & Lotus Shoes.
