Calla Shoes Three Ways - #chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello, welcome to the blog my over fifty friends.
How's it going in your part of the blogging world?
Two things I want to share with you today - first being the #chicandstylish #linkup party - carry on reading to find the link!  More importanly I'm excited to share a wonderful pair of sandals from Calla Shoes today.
Having such an exciting & stylish pair of sandals to show off, I wanted to let you all know that they're so versatile there's loads of outfits to let them shine in.  I've three different looks I want you to see - let me know what's your favourite my friends.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

My first is rather a laid back affair, casual knee length shorts and a pretty lacy top to enjoy a walk in the countryside or maybe a saunter around the shops.  I usually struggle with completely flat footwear, I seem to get an ache in my legs and feet wearing them, although to be fair I can get the same from wearing high heels too!
I must say these didn't do that - they made my feet sing with joy at how comfortable they were.  You know when a pair are comfy - they're never off your feet - just like these!
I wanted to have a good looking pair of sandals that would be great for knocking about in as well as being able to wear them for a special occasion.  I'm not talking about a wedding or christening, but an event that calls for something a little bit dressier - like a day party, girly lunch or baby shower where it's good to keep the comfort levels up and still look fabulous.

So back to my casual shorts.  I bought these so long ago I can't actually remember where I bought them!  They've been in the limelight and on the back burner so many times, but still look like new.  Denim has a way of doing that don't you think?  They've made an appearance recently,  basically because I can get them on - lol.  Liking the length for daytime fun unlike tiny shorts that I only like to don when going to the pool or beach when I'm on my holibobs!

Picking this really pretty lacy top to pair with the Bermuda shorts, loving the length that sits on the waist without needing to be tucked in.  It's slightly see through as you would expect with lace, but the extra panel is in the right place to keep the desired modesty.

Just take a look at how luxurious these flat Laura slingbacks* are.  I felt that the metallic leather would complete many an outfit - but wasn't expecting them to be quite as good as they are.  The soft Portuguese leather feels wonderful next to your skin, with an extremely helpful fastening means no fiddly little buckles to contend with - does anyone else have trouble doing up their shoes?

but wasn't expecting them to be quite as good as they are.

Here's a great shot of my lacy top - this came all the way from Spain.  I like to come home with a fashion piece from my hols, this was what I picked from my weekend in L'Escala.  There was so much choice I wanted all that I saw, but settled on this dainty one.  The length is good for me, as is the pretty v neckline.  With a choice of maybe five colours I'm pleased with the neutral pick of creamy, off-white - there's ample options as it goes with so much, so as you can imagine I've worn it lots already.

So here's another striking outfit to honor my metallic beauties - a lacy dress!  This was going to be donated to charity, but I grabbed it back when looking at what to wear for a BBQ.  How wonderful does this outfit look!  It's a neat and stylish little dress, not too tight with enough room for over-eating yummy BBQ'd food, but still looking cute with my adoring sandals.

Let me tell you a little about the story behind Calla Shoes - Their shoes have been specially designed for sufferers of bunions, even, if like me you've only the tiniest of bunions, these shoes will feel like you're walking on clouds.  Calla shoes aim to take your feet to the next level of comfort, without losing any of the style or fashionable appearance.
Do stop by and read the full story from the professionals behind the idea themselves.

The dress is from a huge selection from Rosegal - It first appeared on the blog two years ago - with a more recent outing worn with another super pair of Calla Shoes - they're obviously a match made in heaven for more than one reason!

Red bag and red nails were the only splash of colour for this muted look, bringing the whole outfit together in a unison as good as strawberries and cream. 💝

Finally my last sandal inspired look had to be jeans. Although I've not worn a pair in ages, these frayed skinny's seemed the perfect companion to my dreamy sandals.  This would be just what I'd pick for a day out with hubby - maybe visiting London for a show or museum - with an obvious cheeky lunch date too!

Day's out in our changeable weather calls for light layers - this would be the best ensemble.  Tee shirt cami, topped off with this sheer chiffon blouse that I styled three ways with Gail - Is This Mutton as well.  I'd possibly take a long line blazer with me if it looked like a cooler day - with an idea to take a umbrella just in case it rained!!!!

Here's one last look at these yummy comfy sandals ( Esther and I had a laugh taking these photos - all I can say is my abs were hurting after this - ha ha ha)  Let me know what is your first choice or how would you style them?

Welcome Lizzy - What Lizzy Loves & thanks for adding to the #linkup my friend.  Why's this my favourite look?  I saw similar in Oasis & decided against buying it, because of the colour - boy what a stupid mistake as it looks so elegant and chic on Lizzy - it would have been such a fabulous dress to wear time and time again!  I wonder if it's in the sale!!!

  2. Great shoes Jacqui! I love Calla's mission because as a bunion sufferer it is hard to find good shoes. I have a pair of their pumps and they are so well made! Love that lacy top especially but all three looks are fabulous!

  6. You styled these so nicely Jaqui and your pictures are great! Love the splashes of red in your white outfit and the jeans with the blouse is my kind of everyday, but it will have to be the shorts for hot Florida. And bunions do make shoe shopping a challenge. I think that shoe companies are getting better and better at designing ways to give more comfy, yet stylish options! Yours are very cute!

  23. Gorgeous shoes! I love my Calla shoes, they're such good quality. I can't wear totally flat shoes either - my feet are getting worse and I fear I may have to press for surgery before too long, even though I was rebuffed by the podiatry department. I desperately want to get back to long distance running. We spend so much time on our feet so we need comfortable shoes. I love your pretty lace top and dress! Thanks for linking up!
