Safely back on dry land..'

Hello ladies,
Home safe and sound after my Boating weekend onboard the Narrow Boat Alaska.  Wow that was one fabulous weekend ...  I encountered, rain, wind, snow, hail and sun, lost shipmate, dropped bowl of beans on the floor, power cuts in one restaurant, dancing to 80s/90s tribute band, smashed glass and a wonderful visit to Windsor Castle, washed down with copious amounts of Prosecco and nearly as many eateries!

The two pairs of jeans, two jumpers and about three T shirts, along with the pretty evening blouse (so glad I took this - dancing to the  tribute band in the pub proved to be very hot) all worked well and was the best option because storage space was err...limited to say the least!  Scarfs came into their own as only took a little bit of space and transformed travelling outfit and the jumper I wore twice.
Reporting on the Baseball trainers I'm afraid to say they were bloomin' painful!  Don't really know why but nearly ended up with two blisters - they may have to be relegated to popping to the shops footwear until they 'fit like slippers'.

So apart from drinking and eating in Windsor, visiting the Castle is a must.  Entry is £20, of which you get an audio guided tour, entry to various areas and tours including The State Apartments and Queen Mary's Dolls' House both well worth the visit.  Views from the castle over-looking Windsor and further afield were fabulous. Queens Guards marching past was quite spectacular, although hearing "make way for the Queen's Guard" blasting in your ears was rather scary if you weren't expecting it!

Lovely to be away, but just as nice to come back to home cooked Chicken Fajitas, salsa, guacamole, nachos with cheese all supplied, assembled and cooked by the children, thus making a
perfect end to my weekend.

Until tomorrow ladies... normality will be resumed..X
