May Review.

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
How you all feeling?

Isn't the year flying by!  I can't believe it's June already, without a hint of a holiday or break away on the horizon.  Have you managed to escape somewhere interesting and exciting - do tell!
My season of birthday's has finally eased with only one birthday late next month.  I'm certainly all caked out now which doesn't help with losing weight - lol.

As it's the beginning of the month it's time for the May Review so in case you missed any you can catch them here in this concise post.

I've started a new monthly series called At Home With ..... did you see it?
If you would like to be featured please do let me know, I would love you to join in. X

So cast your mind back to the start of May.  The weather was typical for the UK and very changeable, so I was between wearing trousers and boots with coats to wearing dresses with trainers and pretty jackets.  My first look is my shacket, my opinion did a full 180 with this trend & now I love them!
This is from my local F & F and I think it smartens up jeans and these faux leather trousers perfectly.

Pleats & Flats with a Denim Jacket - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning my lovely friends.
How are you all doing?
Things have calmed down a little after my run of birthdays and I've been enjoying musing over my  birthday presents with a little peace.
With the rain taking center stage over the past weeks all I've wanted to wear is jeans and boots. I long for the weather to improve so I can wear some of my summer outfits and sandals.  I got some cute cream jeans and a pretty white blouse for my birthday along with a really welcomed white jean jacket (I've been wanting one for ages) - this will be one of the first outfits I put on when the sun decides to make an appearance for longer than an hour or so! Ha ha!

Last year I was due to go to Budapest to see the Hungarian F1 race.  Yep you know the answer to that one, so we've managed to extend our deposit and are trying to book for the latest possible date next year.  I've mixed feelings about the whole thing - part of me is really excited to think we might be able to get away next year or maybe this one, but on the other hand I'm half expecting everything to be back in lock-down!!  I do hope this is just me worrying.  Have you booked to go abroad yet?

Let me tell you about today's OOTD.  I took advantage of better temperatures the other week and wore this skirt and jacket combo.

Pleats and Vest! - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning everyone.
Sorry for being a bit late today, I seem to have lost a day and though it was Wednesday!  How the hell did I miss a day?
Been in the dressing room having another look at my clothes combinations recently. Came up with some beautiful combinations and can't wait to share them with you.  I also finally found and purchased some tan wide leg trousers!  So I bought two pairs!  Well one in short the other in regular.  I might keep both to wear with different heel heights, thought that seemed a great idea & they were a good price so will have to see.
Whilst sorting through my clothes I came upon this combination - a blouse with a vest over my pleated skirt.  Isn't it nice when you put something on and see how fine it is when you look at the photos!  That's just what happened to me.  Having seen so many wearing these knitted vest's I realised I had one in my collection already, I can't tell you how many times it's yo-yo'd from wardrobe to charity pile, but for the time being it's going to stay.  I also managed to track down this one from Zara on Ebay - so excited to wear it and as always layers are going to be your friend in the transition period and cooler days in Summer.
Before we head to the #Linkup let me share this super stylish outfit with you. x

What are your thoughts on the #Spencer vest?

5Over 50 - These boots were made for walking.

Hi there - so pleased you could stop by.
Today is the November 5Over50 style challenge.

I hope you've been watching the previous months, but if not here's a link to check Last months here.
Today's task was set by Anna - see her blog right here. I had the pleasure of meeting up with
Anna & Gail from the 5Over50 Group, you can see our meeting on the London Eye.

These boots were made for walking!

For me this should have been a walk in the park - sorry just had to do that!
I've got endless ankle boots that would fit the purpose beautifully, but alas not many knee high boots!  The reason being my rather large calves!  I struggle to find boots that will fit my ample legs, so with plenty of searching both on line and in the stores I'm sad to say I came up with big fat zero!
After telling you all on my Lotus blog post that my ankle boot collection was complete - I've bought another pair, opps!   These will look charming in the challenge, so by the time I got to the till, my outfit was chosen in my head!  No more strolling round the shops or ambling up and down the high street - my quest for boots was over.
