Mummab - Third Style Stea!

Hi there....
Monday morning and the third Monday in September can only mean one thing - my style steal.

This style steal has a slight twist on it, in as much as the colours are the same, but the outfit is different!
When I saw this mix up I just knew this was going to be a challenge!  It's time to step up to the mark. Let's hope I succeed!

Who doesn't think that black, hot cerise pink and leopard print are a match made in heaven?  Best buddies forever?  Yes I know I'm not alone so had to make this steal work.

Who's style have I chosen for September? Read on to find out who ......

When I saw Emma from The Style Splash wearing this striking outfit I knew it was one for me to try and copy.
I had seen these classy Culottes c/o M & S when searching through their Sale rail, but they evaded my thoughts, & I passed them buy - silly me, so spotting Emma wearing them and looking so vibrant and bold in one of my favourite colours I felt quite miffed to say the least -  the saying 'you snooze you lose' came to mind!!!

Congratulating myself when I purchased this bright and lively cerise dress, which just so happened to be care of M & S sale rail some weeks later!
The A line shape works well for the Autumn, as does the bell sleeves - a personal favourite of mine.  I also fancied the tie detail on the back of the neck, I've left this to hang, although I could have tied in a bow as I wore my hair in a bun when we took the photos.
These black boots have been in my collection since just before last Christmas when I saw them in
TK Maxx and bought them with haste, boots like these don't stay in that store too long!   I do struggle with shoes and sandals, spending various amounts of money and still some hurt my feet!  But these are fine for me. Check out when I last wore these black boots with tights and knitted dress from Roman Originals.
This cute clutch is the token gesture of leopard print,  not quite as bold as Emma's but I think fits nicely into my outfit.

I do have to own up to the fact that this is slightly tight on the arms, I had planned to return the dress because of this, but hadn't realised no refund or exchange is offered on 'final clearance sale' items, so the dress came home with me!  Slightly annoyed that I hadn't checked this - will do so next time!

I hope you managed to catch sight of my previous 'copies' but you can check them out right here July and August.

Many thanks once again to Esther Ruby for taking such super photos - you're a star!

Hope you'll stop by on Thursday, but until then it's been fabulous as usual. X

Friday - Burgundy Jumper two ways.

Woah, how did Friday get here so quick - that's nice but scary too.

What have you been up to today?

It's nearly the weekend, we all know that means it's nearly wine o'clock!

The usual chores done today, a visit to a couple of shops with youngest daughter, with no sign of my princess today- never mind she'll be nanny and granddad's girl on Sunday Yay!

Thought I'd show you two ways I've styled my new H and M burgundy jumper.  I bought this last week, but once home and about to be worn over white jeans I noticed a silly little hole in the arm,  so I changed this earlier on this week and I'm pleased to say this one is perfect.
Burgundy is so in for this season, and being a colour that most people can wear, it's a good option whatever garment you buy.  With a cute neck tie, whether tied up close to the collar line or hanging looser for a more casual look.  Coming in at a bargain price of £14.99,  It's a fine knit jumper so it can be worn over a t shirt for extra warmth, or maybe with a gilet/sleeveless jacket.  Check it out here at H and M.

May I present my first offering........

Teamed with a previous season floral pencil skirt from George at Asda, finishing below the knee, with a split at the back in colours of black, blue, pink and burgundy.  This along with black patent flat pumps which have a black faux suede bow on the front for the extra bit of detail. I felt smart and in keeping with the Autumnal weather in this classic outfit.

Second outfit to show.....

The only other option for me had to be jeans - namely skinny jeans in a dark denim.
This pair are from Zara, they've got a fabulous selection in most branches.  I actually got these last winter in the sale for about £12!  Always worth a visit to check out what they've got and what price they are!
I've been seeing plenty of burgundy, with jeans and leopard print 'something' - so I've picked these old season court shoes from M and S for my leopard print 'something', but I have spotted these Double strap leopard print beauties from M and S too.
Every body's muse at the moment- are they yours too?

My little Roxy loves to get in on the act!

Are you in love with this colour?  What have you got in your wardrobe that's burgundy?

Linking up with Shelbee from Shelbee on the edge.

So long for now,

A windy afternoon by the beach.

Hi there.

Well and truly feeling the autumn breeze.
Went for a little photo shoot with my amazing god-daughter to take advantage of the sun.  Was rather chilly in this outfit, but was a good practise for both of us.

Here I've worn this crochet tunic over a Cami t shirt, however I've also worn it over a long sleeve beige t shirt a few times - another option would be a black long sleeve t.  This was bought from Wallis many years ago, but still looks like new and always gets a good comment or two.  Similar here and here.
Teaming this with some skinny jeans, these are old faithfuls from Next, fitting in all the right places and are wearable with many tops and tunics. Next have a good selection as do M and S, you're sure to find a style and fit in either of these stores.

Burnt Orange or Rust - what do you call it?

Hi there, you all good?

So pleased to show you my post today.
You see I've been having some photos taken by my beautiful, talented and unassuming  god-daughter!

We took off in her little car to the local woods, a fantastic location with amazing scenery, I knew the shots would be good, be never thought they'd be this good!  The lighting, the setting and her patience, along with her relaxed demeanour made me at ease with the situation, and I quite enjoyed it - my one and only complaint was that she couldn't make me look thinner! Ha ha.

This entire outfit has been in my possession for quite a few years.  The tunic top similar here in one of my favourite colour trends of the season.  Burnt orange or rust whatever you prefer to call it has made an appearance on the catwalks and magazines throughout the run up to this season.  Last week seemed the ideal time to wear it for it's first outing this year.
I bought this from H and M basically for the colour.  It has an elasticated waist, slight cap sleeves and a collarless V neck.  When the weather changes I'll be layering with either a similar coloured long sleeve T shirt, or even a cream one.
Skinny jeans similar here were the option I picked, but this top could quite easily accompany leggings, or white jeans.
Bringing along these gorgeous sandals - they are the exact colour match for the tunic and an obvious choice for this outfit.  I know I won't get very much wear from these once the weather really changes but for the time being I'm going with them - there's always next year!

Two for Tuesday - How I style a red cardigan.

Morning bloggers.

As we're heading full steam ahead into Autumn,  I'm rubbing my hands together at the thought of jumpers, boots, jackets and scarves - oh scarves how I've missed you.
I've felt there was something missing all through our glorious summer, and now I can't wait to be reunited with my comforting friends!

I'm showing, today, this cute little red crochet effect cardigan styled two ways.  However not a full cardigan, just a keep-me-a-bit-warmer in the transitional period type of cardigan.
This cute little crochet piece has short sleeves and buttons down the front, sitting just on the waist it's a timeless piece that can and will be adapted for all sorts of wear.

So here's two for Tuesday:
Beginning with the obvious cropped jeans.  I've turned these up, but they're just as cute without.  I'm liking the dark denim, less likely to show any rain drops if we are unfortunate to have any - ha ha!  Also more of a slimming effect I think.
Along with the cropped leg wear, I've chosen this half silk, half jersey multicoloured top.
Great colour scheme for fall and any of the colours can be picked out with accessories.
Keeping with the red theme,  I've picked these red beads, they're a little bit different being on a string rather than a chain.  These were a present from youngest son - he's often bought me some useful and stylish necklaces, some I wear often, others not so regularly, but are just what's needed to complete a look.
