Red Jeans with Leopard Blouse #Chicandstylish #LINKUP - Playtex GIVEAWAY!!!

Morning all - Happy Easter!
Looking forward to a relaxing weekend with friends and family, with the odd glass of prosecco and a few nanny cuddles. 😉
All good in Mummabstylish over fifty blogging land.

GIVEAWAY.

I'm so pleased to be giving away a fabulous bra and briefs set very similar to the one I shared not long ago - read on for the GIVEAWAY.

With nice sunny weather over the past couple of days, my wardrobe has definitely taken on a Spring vibe with me wearing brighter, lighter clothes - much to my delight the appearance of a jacket once or twice too.  So I decided to style my red jeans again yesterday along with my grey leopard print blouse.  I like how they look together - one plays up to the other and compliment each other beautifully.

I took a trip to my local shopping center in order to look for a few pieces I wanted, unfortunately I couldn't find what I needed.  The shops seem to be lacking in all departments so I came home empty handed except for some work jumpers for hubby.  Is it just me or does anyone else feel disappointed with high street stores now-a-days?  I don't really care for online shopping but feel it's starting to become a necessity.  I wish shopping was like the old days.  Coming home with a bag full of goodies from the various shops and boutiques that crowded the town center.  All selling unique and unusual clothing - or does 'rose coloured glasses come to mind'. Lol.
Anyway moan over for today - here's what I wore.

Hang in there!

Hi there fellow over fifty bloggers.
Did you notice my April Fools Day joke?  Well it wasn't really a joke but I missed posting on Monday!  Due mainly to a really busy weekend of fun and enjoyment.
Friday I was out all day and dancing in the evening, Saturday I was busy getting food ready for the evening get-together along with having brunch with the family.  We celebrated Mother's Day a day early at a local restaurant.  I got some lovely sentimental and meaningful cards, beautiful flowers and a classic knitted Co-Ord set that I'd been dreaming about - will be posting that in the next couple of weeks, it's ticking all my boxes so I can't wait to share it with you. Finally on Sunday I attended a wedding,  it was truly an emotional, memorable and beautiful day - I was totally worn out and gave into the fact I couldn't blog and shouldn't beat myself up that I wouldn't be posting on Monday - please forgive me being AWOL - It won't happen again!

Do you remember my leopard outfit last week, it was just hanging together and looked great, well another mixture caught my eye too, very similar but after the liberating feeling I had when producing my latest Style not Age creation my self confidence oozed so another mixed pattern has taken shape!

Leopard Pencil & Rusty Frills - #chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello there, welcome to my over fifty fashion blog.  Here I share my styles, parts of my days & a little about my family life.
I spent last weekend working in the garden grass cutting, shed building and generally clearing out winter residue to make way for summer excitement.  We got a lot done which is just as well because this one will be a busy fun one!  Saturday morning I will be having brunch with the kids for Mother's Day as we're not all free on Sunday.  Saturday evening we are having a family & friends get together in rememberance of my mother-in-law - it will be an evening of celebration with lots of stories and photos being shared.
Sunday we are going to a wedding with friends, I know it will be a rush as the clocks go forward here in the UK.  Thankfully I know my phone will do it automatically which is just as well because I'm sure to forget to actually change my watches & clock!  I've got a super emerald green lace dress that I can't wait to wear and share with you all.  Look out for that post in the next few weeks as the dress is fabulous.

Laying in bed a few weeks ago, my wardrobe doors were open, basically too much stuff hanging inside and out so the doors wouldn't shut - am I the only one this happens too? *thinking emoji* and this outfit was staring at me - not altogether, but the pieces were pulled out near each other - I liked how they looked so planned the outfit for my next shoot.   Another caught my eye in the same way, but will be sharing that in the next month or so.

Check trousers from Krisp.

Hiya, how are you over fifty bloggers doing?
How's your Christmas shopping going?  Are you an 'I've got everything already' or 'I'm leaving it until Christmas Eve' person?  Me... I'm somewhere in between!  I've bought a few pieces already, but still have a mountain of presents to decide on, buy and wrap, although I'm making a concerted effort to get most of them done this week, I hate struggling nearer the time and vow every year not to put myself through a difficult run up to the festive period.  I'll keep you posted how I get on!

Tartan, check or plaid, whatever you call it, it's in fashion!  Everyone is wearing it in some form or another!  So I was pleased to receive these grey check trousers from Krisp recently.

Denim Shirt over Leopard Print Skirt .

Morning to you all and hope you've had a great weekend!

Christmas has definitely started in Mummab's household - we put our Christmas decorations up and how fun & festive they look.  I just love seeing all the decorated trees, baubles and lights throughout the house.  We've had to buy more lights to hang outside as our old ones were … old and broken!  Along with these I'm buying a couple of Christmas trees to place either side of my front door.  Since we tidied it up in the summer there's a space to display them.   I go all gooey eyed when I see the decs up, who else likes to turn the main lights off and look at the tree through squinty eyes - or is it just me?

I thought I'd show another of my pieces from Krisp Clothing today.  I received this leopard print stretchy pencil skirt* & after searching through Pinterest for a few ideas, came up with this one.

Keen as Mustard - Style not Age Fashion Collective.

Hi there, how are you all.
This over fifty fashion blogger is back to reality with a big, cold, damp bump!  I almost, yes I did say almost, wish I'd not been away to a hot & sunny destination.  Doesn't is always feel even colder when you take a sunny holiday in cooler seasons?  My heating is most definitely on as are my socks and gloves!

The latest challenge fell into the hands of Hilda, I'd love you to read on to find out how the ladies from the Style not Age collective attacked November's challenge 'Keen as Mustard'.
Are you keen on the latest colour trend?  Yes I'm talking about firery amber yellow.  I've always liked this colour, but only in recent years worn it.  It actually mixes well with so many other shades, I've paired it with cobalt blue not once or twice but three times, also covered in little flowers & an old faithful jacket.

The hot spicy colours are taking centre stage in the fashion industry for AW, and mixed together make for hot combinations.  I'm seeing mustard, shades of red & mahogany, sienna red and russet, all topped off with brown or tan accessories......

Style Steal - Another piece from Krisp Clothing.

Morning, how's life for you over fifty bloggers?
I'm still away on my holiday so have posted this in advance.  This month's Style Steal is just a little bit different, this month I'm not actually copying a specific outfit, but emulating someone's classic & elegant mode of dress - can you guess who its is?

Do you remember I was lucky enough to receive this super jacket a few weeks ago & along with that I also picked this Pussy Bow Blouse* from Krisp Basics collection.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

My timeless outfit is full of classic pieces, all in neutral shades of cream, with a punch of black trim to keep everything in order.

Feeling fresh in Krisp Clothing #chicandstylish #linkup

Hi there lovelies, how are you all?
I'm getting rather excited, you see next week I'm off on holiday to Abu Dhabi!!  Yes I can't wait.  I have to admit, I've already started packing my suitcase!  When I was younger I always started packing weeks before actually going away, but since having the children that's normally been left to the last minute, although fortunately never (except once) have I left anything at home!  So I've worked out what dresses I'm taking with me, and all my swimwear has been set aside along with what sandals I'm taking, the only item I need to get is a long dress to wear to and from the beach - not much chance of finding one in the shops, so I'll be checking out what's available online, otherwise I'll just have to go shopping when I'm away - shame! 😉
Okay back to today as I'm still a few days away from escaping this Autumnal weather!
I was recently contacted by Krisp Clothing, & from their exciting collection of fashion garments I was asked to select a few pieces - this cute jacket caught my eye immediately.  Check/plaid pieces are everywhere this season, so it felt right to include this in my top pick!
