My Weekend!

Good morning. 

Hope you’re well. 

I’ve had a nice weekend, seem to have done lots but nothing at all really. 

There wasn’t any dancing on Friday, so I dropped up to see my mum and helped re-hang some curtains. She’d had new windows installed and having had them taken down to avoid being dirtied or damaged so I put them back up for her. It’s always nice to chat and catch up and I’m lucky to have her only 10 mins away. 

On Saturday you might have seen on TicTok that I had a horse riding lesson. I’ve had this on my bucket list for a while having never even sat on a horse, so having David give me this for a birthday present was brilliant. I’d bided my time and planned the 1/2 assessment for a nice sunny morning, but blow me on Saturday when said lesson was arranged it had me getting onto the horse in a huge downpour - yes it was raining just over the area where the riding school was! I’d left sunny weather on the coast for torrential rain! How annoying was that!

Style Not Age - My Jumpsuit Joy!

Today It's time for May's Style not Age challenge.

I've been away in Cornwall for the weekend with my family & only just got back!  After the busy couple of weeks I've had lately it's been nice to take time away to collect my thoughts and relax a little.
The stunning Pencubitt House which is situated in Liskeard played host this weekend.  I enjoyed the surroundings of the countryside in Cornwall whilst partaking in drinking large G & T's, wine and wonderful food - well someone has to! 😉 The silence interrupted by the distant mooing of cows, the flapping and swooping of the swallows building their nests & our intermittent laughter! I'll be sharing a post about my weekend away soon, so hope you'll watch out for that one!
Back to the Style not Age Challenge ….

May's task fell into the lap of Anna.  My Jumpsuit Joy has been one of my favourite challenges so far, and I jumped in (sorry) with two feet.  I did think I'd be buying a new jumpsuit as you've seen all my collection already, here's my snakeskin choice, orange is the new black pick & finally my faux velvet style steal.

Well and truly into Autumn now, so the Summer wardrobe is taking a nap, although I am taking a break in November to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (more about that in the future).  Therefore a few items will be getting an airing & seeing the light of day again - albeit only for a week!
I've been buying a few more garments for my Autumnal wardrobe recently, these include something I've been seeking for ages.  Peep toe boots have been on the top of my wish list, but until last week I had no luck with finding the right style and colour.  I happened to be looking for long boots and by chance came across these beauties on the J D Williams site.  The perfect colour - tan, the right style - not a boot, however not totally a shoe.  The heel height just ideal for an everyday run around, I've worn these twice already, feeling rather pleased that I've found them.
