My Weekend - Pale Blue & Brown.

Hi there.
Hows your week gone?

Middle of October already! Half term next week and I’m so excited as I’m actually going away!
David and I are heading off to Savoca again. It’s become that place we both feel is like home. It’s actually nothing like our home or home surroundings but feels like a place we should just ‘be’ does that make sense?
I’m planning on taking some new dresses for the evening and I need to checkout the weather as we’ve not been there this late in the year so I’m not sure what the weather will give us. Any help greatly appreciated! 🙏

Saturday was a lovely day for me. It started with a football ‘Berry Derby’. Both my grandsons were playing in opposing teams so it was obvious I would watch as it was just up the road. It was a hard one but both my boys played extremely well - the nail biter was having them both in a penalty. I literally couldn’t watch as the ball was kicked into action, the goalie had a hand on the ball but it evaded him and soared into the back of the net! They both took the result well - even when the one of them copped the ball straight in his face - not by his cousin I hastened to add! The rest of the afternoon was spent on the hedge, yes the dreaded hedge. I completely knackered myself and felt quite unwell after clambering up and down the podium tower. It’ve got about a quarter left plus the spoil to collect but that’s for another day when I feel fully recovered! I’m really starting to feel my age!

Let’s take a look at today’s outfit. It’s one I wore the other day and combines brown with pale blue.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

This is one I wore the other week. I’m still having a love affair with brown. 🤎 I’ve been adding bits and pieces to my wardrobe and having fun finding different combinations (for me). I’m loving brown with pale blue. Having noted how well my blue suede mules looked  sitting next to the trousers, I searched for the blazer I knew I had somewhere in my wardrobe and marvelled at how good they all look together. I added that fab new brown Tee shirt that I found in H&M a few weeks back. It’s been a really good addition and I’ve worn it loads since I exchanged some trousers for it.

The wide leg trousers are a flattering lightweight fabric that have been great for the cooler weather. I don’t want anything that’s too heavy as it’s not that cold yet. These are the most perfect fit and flatter most shapes. They have a drawstring waist and side pockets. They don’t crease which makes them ideal for holiday packing and spot on for daytime casual looks like mine. I picked them up in Matalan for £20 so won’t break the bank either!

So that Tee shirt. It’s a heavy fabric that’s more like a jumper than a tee and I must say looks a little more classy too. I was a little surprised at the cost though, it was £19.99 and I was expecting to pay around £12, but with that being said it’s good quality and will get many airings - I hope you don’t tire of it! 🤭

The blazer has been hanging around in my wardrobe for a while now and comes out ever so often so still looks like new. It’s a fabulous material too and looks very expensive, I’ve created many-a-classy outfit with it. Head over to Ralph Lauren for a similar buy.

What do you think of my stunning mules? I was kindly gifted these from Lotus Shoes - and I’m pleased to say are still on their website, also offered in three other colours! Maybe you’d like the gold, white or natural instead *.

Final additions to the to this fun casual look are the scarf around the handbag combo. It’s a great way to bring colours together and blend everything to a harmonious finish. Is this something you do? Let me know in the comments my friends.

Cheers for joining me today.
Good to have you here.
See you again on Thursday for the linkup.
Bye for now. X
