Thanks for joining me today, Mummabstylish needs and welcomes all your support - so Thank You!
It's shocking to be in August already don't you think? This year, like many once we are a bit older seem to fly by so quickly. Before long we'll be talking about Christmas won't we!
Anyway would you like a little re-cap of July and all her wonderful outfits and antics?
Well look no further as your wish is granted. x
The July Review is here.
My month has been a bit full on really. With a week in Majorca in June and another trip to Rhodes last month there hasn't been much time in-between to get back into blogging. I promise to get my head into the right space and produce better posts and hope you'll stay around to enjoy it with me. X
Looking back to the beginning of July I was lucky to find this stylish dress in Majorca, in the local market to be exact. I like to return home with a little purchase or two & actually came back with two similar dresses, this one and another I've yet to show you. Have a look at this classic smock dress that's an irresistible shade of orange - well I certainly couldn't resist it, I had to have it.
What would you have done? Seems I wasn't alone with my love of this one as I've had lots of nice comments about it. 🧡
Next up I styled an elegant look with my wide leg trousers and flamboyant frilly leopard print shirt.
This is a style I like to wear when I'm not in a dress. It's a classic look that I associate with the film stars of the 40's. I adore this sleek and refined fashion when ladies who wore trousers still looked feminine and were also ever so graceful. I hope I captured the feeling I was after. x
On the 12th July, David and I celebrated our 36th Wedding Anniversary. We went to our usual haunt ... Read's Restaurant which is about a 15 minute drive away. We had an amazing meal which you can view over on my IG account. You can also check out the stunning yellow and white shirred bodice dress I wore. Hope the little reel doesn't make you jealous!
I shared a holiday addition with you next by way of this gorgeous pink Bardot style jumpsuit. I took it away on both of my recent trips but only wore it in Majorca. It was way too hot for the steamy temperatures on the island of Rhodes, so home it came unworn. This somewhat suited me as I found it was too long on the first wear, so set about doing a amateur shortening of the trousers. I'm not happy with the outcome so will be attempting it again.
Another wedding outfit on the blog and this is a stunner. I've had a trio of weddings over the past few months and had some stylish dresses all from the same company. Do click back to find out about this beautiful maxi and see how it came about.
I was away on my second holiday preparing for the Style Not Age prompt of Summer Sizzlers & I really did fall on my feet with it. The setting of blue skies, sunshine and a stunning setting made for a perfect backdrop, Lindos had it all. I certainly sizzled in this racy swimsuit that I paired with some lacy trousers and floppy hat. Hope you'll come back to see the rest of my photos. X
I felt like the bride for my last post of the month. I wore a striking lace dress that my husband bought for my birthday. I finally wore it on my latest holiday and you can find out why it took me so long to wear it over on the post here.
I really like to shop and buy clothes on my holidays and have already shared some on the blog for you to enjoy.
Here's some of my finds.
Good to have you here, hope you enjoyed my look back at July.
See you on Thursday for a brand new Link up party.
Cheerio for now my lovely supporters. X
