How are you all?
Cold, that's my word of the week! I've been absolutely freezing, how about you? I was saying to my daughter I expect weather like this in Jan and Feb, but after having a few lovely sunny days this cold snap was the last thing I wanted or expected! The wind has been blowing such chilly weather all I really want to do is hole up inside watching TV and eating crap!!! Let's hope a warmer climate it on it's way, but as it's the Easter holidays, I'm sure that wont happen!
So as it's be start of a new month, shall we see what the March looked like for Mummabstylish?
Back in the beginning of March I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another grandchild. Our beautiful little Kimberley was born nearly two weeks late! All safe and sound now and I've had plenty of cuddles.
I was also styling some gorgeous outfits and here's the first beauty of the bunch.
A dark floral dress caught my eye on the Dorothy Perkins website. I clicked the button and it arrived after a couple of days, here's how I styled it and all the details about it - love the bright Spring vibes it gives off and with the vest it's made more suitable for Winter weather.
Do you wear faux leather? I bought these chocolate culottes a while ago and have been impressed with the look and feel of them. You can read all about them on my post featuring my dreamy trousers styled with this over-sized leopard shirt I bought in Abu Dhabi.
I finally got to enjoy hubby's Christmas present from 2019 next. Dinner at The Ritz was all I imagined it to be and more ... do have a look at this post, you can see what I ate and more about the dress I wore. X
I've always received some wonderful presents, especially for Mother's Day, so it made perfect sense to share some of my ideas of what to buy that special lady - I know Mother's Day falls on different dates for different countries, so these ideas might help you!
Black and white are an obvious match made in heaven, but how about adding a splash of colour? I popped my bright and cheerful orange jacket over the top of this pretty satin dress and loved the outcome - do let me know what you think. What tone would you add to this fabulous combination?
I'm getting ready for Spring to arrive ... hope I don't have to wait too long! I've been sorting my wardrobe and adding items I need. This cute jumpsuit arrived at the right time and I managed to get this shot in a window of warm weather the other week. I love to wear an all-in-one and was hooked on this one from Nomads Clothing from the off!
Inspired by Iris Apfel was the latest challenge for me and my friends from Style Not Age. I wasn't 100% impressed with my attempt, but the glasses worked well in my interpretation so I'll take that.
I went down the casual route with my favourite skinny jeans for the last post of March. I adore wearing these from M & S because they just fit in the right places. I've been looking to see if they have any other colours, unfortunately mine are a few years old, and they don't seem to have anything similar now - what a shame! But doesn't the jacket pick out the other colours perfectly? This was a gift from hubby and didn't he do well? It's ages old, but still looks like new - well done Hobbs.
Many thanks for joining me today, I hope you're having a brilliant start to the new month, fingers crossed the weather improves sooner rather than later!
Catch you on Thursday for the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP.
Cheerio for now. X
